WWE WrestleMania 38 Predictions: Roman Reigns Will Become Immortal

Kevin Owens vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin [Grudge Match]

Kevin Owens will defeat Stone Cold Steve Austin in his hometown of Dallas, Texas because he is a full time wrestler who can get some substantial heel heat by defeating a part-timing hall of fame legend who no longer needs a victory in his career. This is WWE’s opportunity to put Owens over as a top heel once again. The main event scene on Raw is lackluster and Owens would be a key asset to that scene going forward. If not, Stone Cold Steve Austin will just go home and the future of WWE will be as pernicious as it was before Mania even begins.

Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey [SmackDown Women’s Title]

Ronda Rousey will undoubtedly dethrone Charlotte Flair to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion because it seems that the WWE is more focused on building up Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey for both belts in the near future. As Rousey said, Charlotte is not special… she’s just first. Rousey’s Rumble victory will be solidified with this championship victory and she will go on a tear throughout her 1-year contract until she meets Becky Lynch again at WrestleMania 39. This feud might not live up to their prior Survivor Series encounter, but the result is predictable.

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair [Raw Women’s Title]

Becky Lynch will defeat Bianca Belair to retain the Raw Women’s Championship because Bianca Belair’s redemption from that 26-second loss at SummerSlam 2021 won’t repair the damage that was already done. Her victory over Banks last year was irreplaceable and there will be no further impact with a victory here. Also, it seems that the WWE is more focused on building up Becky vs. Ronda for both belts in the near future. Henceforth, it appears that a Becky Lynch retention against a fellow WrestleMania main eventer is the more foreseeable result.

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar (c) [Title for Title]

Roman Reigns will defeat Brock Lesnar to retain the Universal Championship and become the new WWE Champion. It has been teased by the WWE for weeks that they will finally merge the divisions. It is possible that Lesnar could defeat Reigns at WrestleMania again, send Reigns to Hollywood, and celebrate his victory on his farm with those methane-emitting cows. However, Reigns needs to defeat Lesnar at Mania 38 for the first time to solidify himself as the superior champion before defeating The Rock at Mania 39 to solidify himself as the superior Tribal Chief.
