The WWE Hall of Fame is welcoming one of the greatest tag teams of all time. The Steiner Brothers will be inducted into the shrine as a part of the 2022 class. The Ringer broke the news on Monday morning.

“Scott and Rick Steiner, known popularly as the Steiner Brothers, will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2022 on April 1,” The Ringer reported via David Shoemaker and Oliver Lee Bateman.

Rick and Scott were a popular tag team across professional wrestling throughout the 90s. The two men held titles in all the major promotions, including the WWF/E, WCW, and New Japan Pro Wrestling. They had matches against some other legendary teams during that time, including The Quebecers, Money Inc, The Outsiders, and many more.

The two brothers were alumni of the Michigan wrestling team and their competitive fire transferred over to the brief rivalry the two men had against each other in WCW. They eventually went their separate ways with Scott becoming the bigger singles star. Their last title run was in PCW in 2013, but they recently had matches as recently as 2019 at CCW.

The 2022 WWE Hall of Fame inductees currently includes The Undertaker, Vader, Queen Sharmell, and Shad Gaspard being recognized with the Warrior Award.

The legacy of the Steiner Brothers continues today as Bron Breakker, son of Rick Steiner, is one of the biggest stars in WWE NXT. There are growing expectations that he could be called up to the main roster after WrestleMania, which would set him on the pace for a big singles run on either WWE Monday Night Raw or SmackDown.
