Although there are plenty of contrived storylines that might be built for this event, there are some potential show-stealing matches on this card that could be thrilling to watch. The following will provide full match card predictions for WrestleMania Backlash. It’s now time to preview and predict the after party for the biggest event in the year on WWE’s calendar: WWE WrestleMania Backlash.
WWE WrestleMania Backlash is scheduled to take place on May 8, 2022, live on WWE Network via Peacock. Here are some match card predictions.
RKBro (c) vs. Usos (c) [Title for Title: Undisputed Tag Titles]
The Usos will defeat RKBro to retain the SmackDown Team Championship and become the new Raw Tag Team Champions. On SmackDown last week, Roman Reigns demanded that the Usos capture all the gold for the Bloodline, so it makes sense that they will do just that to solidify the dominance of their faction on the road to SummerSlam. Hopefully, this is a sign that WWE is merging all of the divisions in order to add more value to these titles and elicit fresh matchups.
The New Day will defeat Sheamus and Ridge Holland to regain momentum and be next for the Usos at the next PPV. Meanwhile, Sheamus will settle for the IC Title scene with Ricochet and attempt his grand slam. It is possible that the winner of the Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss feud will contend for the IC Title, but no one really cares about Corbin and Moss. Their bland, zero-dimensional characters will not be enough to save the mid-card division on SmackDown.
