WWE has an exceptionally deep roster. There are plenty of people in the locker room that could succeed in the promotion if given the space and opportunity. When asking fans who they want to see in the limelight, Dakota Kai is one name that jumps off the list. It’s time to see Kai on the main roster, competing for, and eventually becoming a champion in the WWE.

In this week’s edition of WWE NXT 2.0 saw Kai lose once again when competing for the WWE NXT Women’s Title. This time, the shenanigans of Mandy Rose and Toxic Attraction kept Kai out of the spotlight, with that title around her waist.

This wasn’t Kai’s first time in the title picture. In the past, she’s been involved with angles against top champions like Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, and Raquel Gonzalez. Each time she put on exceptional matches as the challenger, but she’s yet to pick up a singles title under the WWE banner. That’s even more upsetting when the combined total of her tag team title runs is less than four days. Even in the face of these unsettling stats, Kai is recognized as an individual on the roster with the potential to become a superstar. And it’s not just her fans that feel this way.

“I guess I’m pulling for Dakota Kai,” WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair said while speaking to WWE Deutschland. “I think she’ll surprise us.”

The thing is, Kai as a top star wouldn’t surprise many, as it’s clear she has all the tools necessary in the WWE. She has a compelling look that helps her stand out on the roster, which is a key factor that many miss. Her abilities in the ring come off believable, both as a heel or a babyface. And she can work bell-to-bell. All these points touch on the factors that both fans of professional wrestling and sports entertainment look for in their favorites.

After Tuesday’s defeat, it’s time to move Dakota Kai to the main roster. WWE NXT 2.0 has changed its focus and her place is no longer needed on that brand. When the current state of the women’s rosters on both WWE SmackDown and Monday Night Raw are considered in the equation, Kai is needed on both shows. Flair needs a new challenger for her title, why not have Kai step into that role? The opportunity is here.
