All Elite Wrestling is leading in the race to build a youthful foundation for the next generation of professional wrestling. But that doesn’t mean WWE is falling behind in their work. There are several names in WWE NXT that are under the age of thirty and showing signs that they can factor into long-term planning. This is especially prevalent in the women’s division.

Mandy Rose and Toxic Attraction are at the center of NXT, with much of the focus going to them each week. Rose, at only 31, has performed well in this phase of her career, after struggling to draw consistent interest on the main roster. Gigi Dolin, the former Priscilla Kelly, (24), and Jacy Jayne (25) are benefiting from the exposure that comes with their time alongside Rose. They could both flourish with singles runs of their own when the time is right. Dolin especially, as she has an extensive resume in major promotions throughout wrestling including, SHIMMER, WWN, MLW, and AEW.

The talented youth do not end there. Sarray, Nikkita Lyons, Lash Legend, Indi Hartwell, Amari Miller, and Arianna Grace (Santino Marella’s daughter) are all 26 years old or younger. Fans are already behind names like Miller, Legend, and Lyons, while Sarray already has 10 years’ worth of experience, making her the type of performer that is central for long-term development.

When talking about youth within the NXT roster, Cora Jade, and Roxanne Perez (formerly Rok-C) must be at the top of the watch list.

Jade (21) brings experience in wrestling that includes matches in GCW, Warrior Wrestling, SHIMMER, and AEW. She knows how to work and fans are already noting an improvement in her abilities since joining the WWE. Her performance in WarGames back in December put her on the map in NXT, and it became clear she’s someone that will be at the top of the division in due time.

Then there is 20-year-old Roxanne Perez, (formerly Rok-C). The former Ring of Honor Women’s Champion needed just one appearance on NXT Level Up before the decision was made to bring her over to the main show and slot her into a feud against Toxic Attraction. Perez can hang in the ring with any woman in WWE, and that includes the main roster. Fans should expect to see her on the main roster much sooner than later.

WWE is building for the future, slowly but surely. While the presentation and storylines are questionable at best, viewers can’t doubt the level of young talent that is being added to the NXT roster. Within NXT, the WWE is looking at the opportunity to build a strong roster for the future.
