WWE Raw Predictions: Seth Rollins Will Unfortunately Replace Cody Rhodes

Seth Rollins will take his focus from Cody Rhodes and place it on the Money in the Bank briefcase.

WWE Raw is on the road to WWE Money In The Bank 2022. In this week’s episode, there is one scheduled match: Kevin Owens vs. Ezekiel. There are also two scheduled segments: Seth Rollins will explain his actions regarding his heinous attack against Cody Rhodes last week, and Judgment Day will fully explain their actions for betraying Edge and their new direction going forward.

In terms of the upcoming PPV, Rhea Ripley became the number one contender for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Title at MITB by winning a fatal 4-way last week against Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, and DouDrop. Meanwhile, Street Profits became the number one contender for Usos’ Undisputed Tag Team Titles by winning a championship contenders match against them last week.

In terms of the MITB Ladder Matches, it is expected that MITB qualifying matches will come into play for the superstars who are not in the aforementioned title matches. There were two MITB Qualifying matches on SmackDown this week, so there is a strong possibility the same can be said for Raw this week.

With that being addressed, it’s now time to preview and predict the scheduled matches and segments that will actually occur on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on June 13, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on USA. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

Judgment Day Segment

On this week’s WWE Raw, Judgment Day will take center stage with a new direction in the works. Since Ripley already earned a title match against Bianca Belair at WWE MITB 2022, Finn Balor and Damian Priest will find their way on the MITB card too. Riddle is already contending for Roman Reigns’ World Title and Bobby Lashley is already contending for Austin Theory’s U.S. Title. It is expected that Edge will be written off television after the attack last week and will return for his vengeance at SummerSlam, so Balor and Priest will qualify for MITB to get on the card.

Ezekiel vs. Kevin Owens [Grudge Match]

Ezekiel will defeat Kevin Owens as payback for the loss at WWE HIAC 2022. WWE has a proclivity for implementing 50:50 booking as an ‘effective’ way of putting a rising star over. As foreseen at WWE HIAC 2022, Owens picked up the early victory to stretch this feud out for the big babyface payoff on the road to SummerSlam for Ezekiel. This match could also end in DQ due to interference by Alpha Academy, and Ezekiel will have to get his win back at MITB or SummerSlam with some special stipulation attached that will prevent Gable and Otis from interfering.

Seth Rollins Segment

On this week’s WWE Raw, Seth Rollins is scheduled to cut a promo and explain his heinous attack on Cody Rhodes last week. Before Cody was attacked by Rollins, he expressed his aspirations for MITB. Now that Rhodes’ pectoral injury and successful surgery will keep him off the shelf for nine months, Rollins will vindictively replace Rhodes so that Rhodes can sit at home and watch him win MITB. That way, when Rhodes returns, he can beat Rollins for the briefcase and cash it in at Mania, just like Rollins did at WrestleMania 31.
