The WWE main roster is in trouble. Injuries, absences, suspensions, and a potential release have put both brands in jeopardy with a massive lack of star power heading into the summer. Monday Night Raw and SmackDown need something to inject some momentum and excitement into the content each week. To do so, WWE should look at leveraging some of the talents on WWENXT to get the job done.

Now is the right time to make multiple call-ups to the main roster. On the men’s side, Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker, Cameron Grimes, and Legado Del Fantasma should be called up to either show. On the women’s side, Toxic Attraction, Roxanne Perez, Indi Hartwell, and Io Shirai should get the same treatment.

WWE needs something for Roman Reigns to do through SummerSlam. It’s looking more like Seth Rollins will be the man to take on Reigns next year at WrestleMania, but what is supposed to happen between now and then? This is where Breakker could add something to the main roster. WWE has already made it clear that he’s the future and a multiple-time champion in the waiting. Imagine the rub he could get from working with Reigns at this point in his career.

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams would cook as an act on Monday Night Raw. Let Hayes have great matches against the likes of Rollins, AJ Styles, Chad Gable, and Kevin Owens. He is already main event-ready, his work in NXT shows that. Bringing him to the main roster would allow him to further grow as a star and the workhorse of the future he’s destined to be.

Legado Del Fantasma checks all the boxes. Santos Escobar is a main event-level heel already. He isn’t lacking in any way. Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro would fit perfectly in the tag team division. Then there’s Elecktra Lopez who would be an added boost to the women’s division.

Then there is Cameron Grimes. He’s another individual that has the character and the in-ring abilities that could attract fans to the product. A lot of it depends on booking because everyone saw what happened to Pete Dunne on the main roster. But Grimes has outgrown his spot-on NXT and it’s time for a change.

Io Shirai. Why isn’t she already on the main roster? There are stories that she can tell with and against Asuka. Or imagine her taking on Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, or any other top names in the division. She’s one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world and its asinine that WWE can’t find a way to get a fan favorite such as Shirai on television week after week.

Roxanne Perez is ready for the main stage. Her brief tenure in NXT already proves that point, which is why she’s immediately in the main event picture. She may be the woman to take the title off Mandy Rose, but at this point, she doesn’t even need that run because she has all the abilities to succeed on either show.

Indi Hartwell has exceeded expectations in NXT. Her time at the learning tree of Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano paid off. While she could use a bit more time as a singles performer in NXT, she could move onto the main roster and work well with the veterans that are in that space.

WWE sees Toxic Attraction as a main event stable. Fans may not agree, but the minds in power in WWE love everything about the three women who are central to all things NXT. Moving them up to the main roster would help fill a gap within the women’s division, but only if they are booked in a way that facilitates that success.

Losing Sasha Banks would be a massive hit to the WWE roster. dark. Next

WWE hasn’t booked the main roster well enough to deal with the gaping hole that’s hit the superstars of this promotion. WWE must look to its NXT brand to fill in some of the gaps and there are some talented performers that could step in and do so.
