AEW: Christian And Jungle Boy’s Feud Will Make Both Top Stars

It was a bit overdue for Christian Cage to turn heel in AEW. He betrayed Jungle Boy and beat him down in front of his mother and sister. However, I am sure that Christian was only doing it for his peeps.

Just two weeks ago, Christian Cage shocked the AEW fans by turning on Jungle Boy after he had lost the AEW Tag Team Championships at Dynamite: Road Rage. Christian helped his “protege” up to his feet and looked to help escorted him out of the ring. However, he pulled Jungle Boy back before he could exit the ring and then proceeded to beat him down. He finished off his attack by hitting Jungle Boy with a con-chair-to in front of his mom and sister. To make matters even worse, Christian left the ring and proceed to talk down to Jungle Boy’s family and told his mother that she “raised a piece of shit.”

The fans were irate with Christian Cage for turning on one of the fan’s favorites, Jungle Boy. However, many of those same irate fans were joining all the other fans that had been waiting for Christian to turn heel. Christan Cage is easily one of the most beloved wrestlers in the business and can play the good guy any day of the week. However, Christian can be something special when he is being the bad guy. In the past two weeks, Christian went from somebody the fans loved to one of the most unbearable people on the AEW roster. And that, that is talent, my friends.

He instantly targeted Jungle Boy’s mother and sister after the attack. Since then, he has only gotten nastier with his remarks about Jungle Boy’s family including his late father, Jack Perry. He said that Jungle Boy looked up to him as a father figure and that he never wanted that to happen. However, Jungle Boy’s best friend and tag team partner, Luchasaurus stormed the ring looking to do something about Cage’s actions. Luchasaurus grabbed Christian by the throat and pushed him back into the turnbuckle. However, Christian seemed to get to Luchasaurus by saying that he looked at him as a son and they needed to talk.

Christian has a history of playing a great heel

Christian proceeded to hug Luchasaurus instead of having his head taken off by him like the fans were wanting. A week later on Dynamite, Christian would come out to continue poking fun at Jungle Boy and his family. He stated that the network wanted him to usher an apology to him and his family for his over-the-line comments about his father. Unfortunately, Cage would just get even worse as he stated that he was sorry that his whole family wasn’t dead. Just before quickly taking that statement back for only Jungle Boy’s mother and motioned for her to give him a call.

It couldn’t get much more personal for Christian Cage and Jungle Boy. Cage had already gone after Jungle Boy’s family, what was he going to go after next, his friends? That is exactly right. Right after verbally tearing about Jungle Boy, Christian kicked him while he was down by revealing how much he had actually gotten through to Luchasaurus. The best friend of Jungle Boy aligned himself with Cage with a revamped look and a sinister new entrance with new music and video. Luchasaurus tore Serpentico apart and established himself as a dangerous new heel threat.

As the commentary team would talk about, Jungle Boy had to be broken-hearted watching Luchasaurus betray him and align himself with a man who disrespected him beyond all bounds. Jungle Boy will soon return and revenge will surely be in his plans but he will have the odds stacked against him. Jungle Boy is a young, future star of business but he still has much to learn and experience. Christian Cage is a multiple-time World Champion and Luchasaurus is a prehistoric dinosaur that can also kick ass and do flips.  Yeah, Jungle Boy Jack has some obstacles in his way.

Despite all of the obstacles that are set up against him, this is all set up for Jungle Boy to become one of AEW’s top stars. While he has had high-profile matches including an AEW World Championship match against Chris Jericho, Jungle Boy hasn’t had a feud to push him to top their star level. However, this could be the exact feud that he needs to do so. Without being seen on the past two weeks of AEW television, Jungle Boy is still gaining popularity through empathy from the fans. The fans are despising the things Christian is saying and all of that makes them want Jungle Boy to get his revenge and shut Christian’s mouth.

Christian is possibly about to go on the run of his career. He has reached some highs throughout his career but he has the potential to do something special in AEW, especially now with Luchasaurus by his side. We have seen in the past that having a big guy by his side has helped him out. He relied on Tyson Tomko for many years and two companies. Now, he is back to being the guy you love to despise with a monster to help do his business. Jungle Boy has generated natural fan support since day one in AEW and can easily break out to be a top star.

AEW has a ton of potential in their hands with this feud that can benefit three men’s careers. In a short time, Christian is putting out great promo work and Luchasaurus has become more dangerous than ever in less than ten minutes. All we need now is Jungle Boy to come back and up the anty and step up his own game. The way that this feud is handled could make or break the momentum of those involved. If handled correctly, Christian, Jungle Boy, and Luchasaurus can all come away as top draws in the company and continue to be in feuds moving forward.
