Three other matches for Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2022

Viewers are getting Lesnar vs Reigns again, but these are three matches fans would have liked to see instead.

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will once again clash at SummerSlam. This time they are battling in a Last Man Standing match with the undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line. Fans have expressed disdain with WWE running this match back again because none of the other names on the roster are big enough stars to stand in the spot. But that doesn’t mean fans do not want to see Lesnar. Imagine if WWE used him in other matches and the benefit that could have to more individuals on the roster. Here are some ideas for other matches fans would be excited to see for The Beast at SummerSlam.

Chad Gable

Their momentary interaction on Monday Night Raw had fans and media personalities wanting to see more between Gable and Lesnar. An Olympic-level wrestler of Chad Gable’s abilities would be able to hang with Lesnar move-for-move. Beyond that, Gable’s character growth is perhaps his biggest improvement. Seeing his comedic approach playing off the more-vocal version of Lesnar would be an enjoyment for fans to witness. The technicality of the matches would make this pairing capable of having some of the best matches of the year across the industry. Plus, the outcome would help solidify Gable as a potential star and top challenger for any title in the future.

Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker has been tabbed as one of the top names for the future of the WWE. The NXT Champion has all the tools to fit that role perfectly. He’s already shown an uncanny ability to take to this craft and fans are buying into everything he has to offer. One way to push him over the top would be to put Lesnar and Breakker into the ring together and let these two monsters go.

Think about the story of Lesnar not respecting the lineage of Breakker’s family in wrestling; both collegiate and professional. That as the basis for Breakker wanting to prove himself against the biggest name the industry has seen in years is enough of a platform to kick off this match, with Breakker going over and setting himself up with a future that is set for the spotlight.

Gunther

Fans were worried about how WWE would utilize WALTER once he made the jump to the main roster. The name changes and removing Fabian Aichner from Imperium didn’t help. But a few months into the excursion and Gunther is the WWE Intercontinental champion and poised to have an important run with the mid-card title. He would be an interesting opponent for Lesnar at this point in his run.

Gunther and Lesnar are two big men that bring the heat in everything they do when in the ring. Think about the image of Gunther laying into Lesnar with chops and he selling each of them, each one rising Gunther’s stock on the roster. Putting Gunther over would make him a threat to Roman Reigns as the champion and think about the fun that would be possible with Lesnar holding a mid-card championship and being chased by a different group of wrestlers on the roster.
