WWE Raw Predictions: Dominik Mysterio Will Shamelessly Betray His Father

WWE Raw is on the road to WWE SummerSlam 2022. In this week’s episode, there is one scheduled match: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Carmella for the Raw Women’s Championship in a rematch from MITB. There is also one scheduled segment: Logan Paul will return to confront The Miz after Miz attacked him at WrestleMania. In terms of other storylines, it has been teased that Dominick Mysterio could join Judgment Day. Will Dominick Mysterio actually betray his father?

In terms of the upcoming PPV, there are officially five matches scheduled thus far: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in a Last Man Standing Match, Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Title, Pat McAfee vs. Happy Corbin, Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Austin Theory for the U.S. Title, and Usos (c) vs. Street Profits for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles with Jeff Jarrett as the announced special guest referee.

In terms of the other matches that could be added to the SummerSlam card, it is expected that five more matches will be added to the card this year since last year’s SummerSlam card had 10 matches on the main show. As for tonight’s show, it is likely that Seth Rollins vs. Riddle, Bianca Belair (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the Raw Women”s Championship, and AJ Styles & Logan Paul vs. The Miz & Tomasso Ciampa will be announced for SummerSlam.

With that being addressed, it’s now time to preview and predict the scheduled matches and segments that will actually occur on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on July 18, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on USA. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

Logan Paul Returns [Segment]

On this week’s WWE Raw, Logan Paul will return to confront The Miz. Logan Paul wants a singles match against The Miz at SummerSlam, but that does not seem to be the trajectory of this feud. Since Ciampa is involved in this storyline, he will attack Logan Paul, leading to AJ Styles making the save. AJ Styles has been battling Miz and Ciampa for the past few weeks, so it makes sense for him to team with Logan Paul and battle Miz and Ciampa at the biggest event of the summer.

Bianca Belair (c) vs. Carmella [Raw Women’s Championship]

On this week’s WWE Raw, Bianca Belair will retain the Raw Women’s Championship against Carmella to avenge Carmella for the post-match attack at MITB as well as redeem herself from that poorly booked count-out loss to Carmella last week on WWE Raw. It is questionable why Belair has to battle Carmella so many times, but it seems like it’s merely a filler feud that will stall some time until Belair’s WrestleMania rematch with Lynch at SummerSlam.

Dominik Mysterio Will Join Judgment Day [Segment]

On this week’s WWE Raw, Mysterios will likely interact with Judgment Day. Finn Balor and Damian Priest have been persistent in asking Dominik Mysterio to betray his father, spread his wings, and join their faction. Since Rey Mysterio’s 20-year WWE Anniversary is on next week go-home Raw episode, it would be more impactful if Dominick Mysterio saves his heel turn or major angle for that celebration. Nonetheless, the betrayal is inevitable and will do wonders for Dominik’s career.
