WWE Raw Predictions: Kevin Owens Will Tear Apart Bobby Lashley

WWE Raw is on the road to WWE Clash at the Castle 2022. In this week’s episode, there are two scheduled matches: Edge vs. Damian Priest and Asuka & Alexa Bliss vs. Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai in the women’s tag team tournament semifinals. Also, the U.S. Champion Bobby Lashley successfully retained his title against Ciampa and AJ Styles in the past two weeks on WWE Raw. Who will Lashley defend the title against this week on Raw and/or at WWE Clash at the Castle 2022?

In terms of the upcoming PPV, there are officially four matches scheduled thus far: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, Liv Morgan (c) vs. Shayna Baszler for the SmackDown Women’s Title, Bianca Belair (c), Asuka, and Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley, Iyo Sky, & Dakota Kai, Seth Rollins vs. Riddle, and Gunther (c) vs. Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title. At the very least, it is expected that the United States Championship match and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship matches will also be added to the card.

With that being addressed, it’s now time to preview and predict the scheduled matches and segments that will actually occur on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on August 22, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on USA. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

Edge vs. Damian Priest [Grudge Match]

On WWE Raw, Edge is scheduled to battle Damian Priest in his hometown of Toronto Ontario, Canada. This is their first time battling one on one. Since Finn Balor picked up the win over Rey Mysterio two weeks ago, it would be wise to predict Edge to win here due to 50/50 booking. In order to continue the tease of a Dominik heel turn, Dominik could cost his Edge the match here since he must be mad after getting speared by Edge three weeks ago. However, Edge should still win for the babyface hometown feel. This should lead to a tag match being scheduled for the PPV.

Asuka & Alexa Bliss vs. Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai [Women’s Tag Team Tournament SemiFinals]

On WWE Raw, Asuka and Alexa Bliss are scheduled to battle Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai in the semifinals of the Women’s Tag Team Tournament. While Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai had defeated Dana Brooke and Tamina to advance to the semifinals two weeks ago, Asuka and Alexa Bliss recently defeated DouDrop and Nikki ASH to advance to the semifinals last week. In terms of the winner, it seems that this will go to Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai as they aim to continue solidifying their nascent faction with Bayley while also building up their match against Asuka & Bliss at the PPV.

Who Will Be Next For U.S. Champion Bobby Lashley [Segment]

In the past two consecutive weeks on WWE Raw, U.S. Champion Bobby Lashley has successfully retained the title against both Ciampa (w/The Miz) and AJ Styles. Although it is very possible that the WWE could book a fatal four way for the U.S. Title at Clash at the Castle features Lashley, Miz, Ciampa, and Styles, it is just as likely that Lashley will be booked against a fresh challenger, such as a top heel in Kevin Owens. Kevin Owens ruthlessly decimated Ezekiel two weeks ago on Raw to make a statement that he is back in full force and he is now the biggest threat to Lashley’s title.
