WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 is two weeks from now, and the WWE has already made one match official for this “premium live event”: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed World Championship in the main event. Since there were eight matches on this year’s SummerSlam, there will likely be seven more matches added to this PPV in the upcoming weeks. The following will provide some preliminary match card predictions for what should be an epic event outside the United States: WWE Clash at the Castle 2022.

WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 is scheduled to take place on September 3, 2022, live on Peacock. Here are some updated match card predictions.

Usos (c) vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn [Undisputed World Tag Team Championships]

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will dethrone the Usos to become the new Undisputed World Tag Team Champions because Usos have no babyface challengers left as champions and their reign has run its course. Also, Owens had told Zayn a few months ago that the Usos are using him and that he is blind to it all. Zayn is realizing this for himself after his recent interactions with the Usos in previous weeks. Roman Reigns even hinted at an Owens and Zayn reunion on SmackDown this week after having small talk with Zayn in the locker room. The seeds are planted for new champs.

Prediction: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Bobby Lashley (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Ciampa vs. The Miz [U.S. Title]

Bobby Lashleu will retain the United States Title in a fatal four way match against AJ Styles, Ciampa, and The Miz because he has been feuding with all of them for the past few weeks now in U.S. Title matches. He retained the title against Ciampa two weeks ago and retained again against AJ Styles last week. It is is likely that he will interact with The Miz due to his association with The Miz before the PPV to sensibly set up this fatal four way. At the end of the day, Lashley will retain to solidfy his dominance whilst Styles continues his feud with Miz and Ciampa.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley

Gunther (c) vs. Sheamus [Intercontinental Title]

Gunther will retain the Intercontinental Title against Sheamus because it is too soon for him to drop the title, especially in his home state of the UK. No one really has home court advantage here because Sheamus is also from the UK and has never won the Intercontinental Title, which has eluded his fifteen year career. However, Gunther still needs to solidify his dominance as champion over a top star like Sheamus. Sheamus is a timeless veteran who can always win the IC Title in his second go-around on a big show like Mania without harm done to his momentum.

Prediction: Gunther

Edge & Rey Mysterio (w/Dominick Mysterio) vs. Judgment Day (w/Rhea Ripley) [Tag Match]

Judgment Day will defeat Edge & Rey Mysterio because Dominick Mysterio will turn heel to help Judgment Day win. Dominick got speared by Edge on Raw and will want his revenge. In the storyline, he has always been overshadowed by his father and has been continuously advised by everyone around him to spread his wings and pursue his singles career. Instead of putting an end to Judgment Day, Edge will put them over because Judgment Day desperately needs a win back from their losses to Mysterios and Dominick is the key to their victory.

Prediction: Judgment Day

Seth Rollins vs. Riddle [No Holds Barred Match]

Seth Rollins will defeat Riddle because Seth Rollins needs payback for Riddle’s RKO from the top of the ladder at WWE MITB 2022 and needs to break his notorious PPV losing streak. It can be argued that Riddle needs the win more since Rollins rubbed salt in Riddle’s wounds after Riddle lost his tag partner, Orton, and lost to Roman Reigns in the Undisputed World Championship match. However, Rollins is a main event talent who should not lose to everyone on PPV. If he loses to everyone, the value of defeating an established star like him will inevitably diminish.

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Bianca Belair, Asuka, & Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley, Io Sky, & Dakota Kai [6-Women Tag Match]

Bayley, Io Sky, and Dakota Kai, also known as CONTROL, will defeat the team of Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss in a six-women tag match because they need to solidify their nascent heel faction with a PPV debut victory. It can be argued that Belair should not lose on PPV as champion but she can afford a loss here since her title is not on the line and she does not have to be pinned. Bayley, the captain of the group, especially needs this win more to solidify her spot as the number one contender and regain the title match she had against Belair before she got injured in 2021.

Prediction: CONTROL

Liv Morgan (c) vs. Shayna Baszler [SmackDown Women’s Title]

Liv Morgan will retain the SmackDow Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler because it is too soon for her to lose the title and she still has an ongoing feud with Ronda Rousey, who was recently ‘arrested’ for disobeying orders after paying her fine. It is bitter sweet that Baszler will fail to capitalize on Liv Morgan’s injured arm and capture gold because she should have won the world title on the main roster a long time ago, but Baszler has lost so much momentum under Vince McMahon that it would not be the right time to pull the trigger on a title reign for her just yet.

Prediction: Liv Morgan

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre [Undisputed WWE Universal Championship]

Drew McIntyre will dethrone Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion because he is 0-3 against Reigns on PPV and needs to win the world title in front of fans for the first time in his career, especially in the UK where he was born and raised. McIntyre never got that experience at Mania 36 when he won in a silent arena. Now is his time to end the reign of the Tribal Chief and kickstart a new era under the Triple H regime. He already has feuds set with the likes of Kevin Owens and Karrion Kross once he wins that title. It’s only a matter of time.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre
