Since 2009 Extreme Rules has been the place where the WWE showcases its more “violent” side, but that hasn’t been the case in recent years. With Triple H in charge of creative, that seems to be changing heading into the 14th edition of the show. It will, however, be the first Fight Pit match to happen on the main roster in WWE.

Extreme Rules 2022 is scheduled for Saturday, October 8 from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tickets went on sale a few months ago since then are showing impressive performance according to WrestleTix. As of September 17, there were 10,881 tickets distributed with 1,221 remaining of the planned 12,102 capacity. This is a strong testament to the appreciation for the improved booking practices under Triple H as only one match of the card was announced before the September 19 edition of Monday Night Raw, plus there’s a strong chance that Roman Reigns will not defend the Undisputed Championship on the show.
