All Elite Wrestling superstar Jon Moxley has signed a contract extension with the company for five years and has more extended roles within the company.

In a press release, AEW announced Friday night that Jon Moxley has signed a five-year contract extension with the company that keeps him there through 2027, and the deal includes extended roles in mentorship and coaching.

Moxley is currently the AEW World Champion and will soon defend the title against Hangman Adam Page on Oct. 18 on a special Tuesday edition of AEW: Dynamite.

"“Jon Moxley is on the best run of his already legendary career, and this five-year extensionensures that he was not only here for AEW’s meteoric rise, but also remains a key part of thesustained success we’re witnessing, just days after the three-year anniversary show for ‘AEW:Dynamite,’” said Tony Khan in a press release. “Jon is a great world champion for us in his third reign. His wrestling mind is invaluable, and our roster is lucky to have the opportunity to utilize him as a mentor and a coach as we continue to build the stars of today and tomorrow.”"

Moxley is in his third title reign, as it began back at AEW Grand Slam, where he defeated Bryan Danielson to win the title.

Moxley has been a huge part of AEW’s success and has been there, pretty much, from the beginning. In what has been a couple of weeks filled with turmoil within the company, this is definitely a bright spot for the company to sign one of its top stars in the midst of controversy.

Moxley can also help all the rising stars in the company and to bring him in as a mentor and a coach within the company is a huge added bonus for everyone all around.

“I love AEW and the spirit of both the company and its fans,” said Jon Moxley in a press release. “I cherish our shared passion for the sport of professional wrestling, and I’m going to dedicate everything I have in mind, body, and spirit to helping AEW be the best it can be going forward.”
