The intersection of video gaming and professional wrestling is waiting for AEW Fight Forever to be released. While that date isn’t known, some good news did drop on Monday as Matt Black of WrestleZone reported the game will be a day-one launch for Microsoft Xbox Game Pass.

As with anything else in professional wrestling, AEW Fight Forever has been covered with a lot of speculation and rumor. The game was last seen back at Gamescom this summer where multiple updates on the roster, game modes, and full matches were displayed. At the event, AEW Fight Forever was awarded the Best Sports/Racing Game Award.

Xbox Game Pass is a gaming service that draws strong comparisons to Netflix for gaming. Available across multiple Microsoft platforms, Game Pass allows subscribers to download or stream games for use instead of purchasing them flat out. All exclusive first-party games are available on day one on Xbox Game Pass, while terms of availability for third-party games vary depending upon the agreement. Microsoft currently boasts approximately 25 million subscribers on the subscription service.

Neither THO Nordic nor All Elite Wrestling has announced this deal officially. AEW Fight Forever is being developed by Yuke’s and is slated for release on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. No official date has been announced, as it was last mentioned during an AEW Dynamite broadcast that the game will come out in the fall of 2022.
