WWE NXT New Year’s Evil 2023 Event Card and Information
The new year is upon us and that includes another slate of PLEs and special events from WWE. The first up is a WWE NXT special, NXT: New Year’s Evil 2023. This is a Tuesday night episode that will feature multiple championship matches and other showcases to advance important storylines.
New Year’s Evil as a wrestling showcase that was originally used by WCW back in 1999, first used by WCW Monday Nitro on December 27, 1999. WWE has dusted off the branding to use for NXT, with the 2023 show being the third iteration of this event.
This will be an interesting card for NXT because it will set the tone for the brand in 2023. With the Royal Rumble a few weeks later, there’s an expectation that NXT performers will show up in the rumble and perhaps move on to the main roster. Eyes are especially on Bron Breakker, because if he loses the title there’s a strong chance that he will change brands as both needs another big star quickly.
NXT New Year’s Evil is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10 from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
NXT New year’s Evil Match List (Card subject to change)
- Bron Breakker versus Grayson Waller in a singles match for the NXT Championship
- Tony D’Angelo vs Dijak in a singles match
- Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan and Sanga) versus The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed and Brutus Creed) in a tag team match
- Hank Walker versus Charlie Dempsey in a submission match
