WWE NXT has a potential attraction in Sol Ruca
Sol Ruca is one of the top rising stars in WWE NXT.
Sol Ruca’s rise has been so rapid and nimble that we don’t realize what her ceiling could be. In a match last week against Alba Fyre (who is one of the veterans of NXT), Ruca matched her move for move and with a little interference from Isla Dawn, was able to pick up a huge win.
What makes her so exhilarating to watch though, is her finisher called “The Sol Snatcher.” I don’t believe that is the official name for the move, but announcers have been running with and so have we as fans.

As a former gymnast, Ruca is using her gifted athletic ability to create a path of her own in NXT and has quickly won over the WWE Universe. As we know these days, everyone has their path to a WWE ring. Some have to grind their way through the indie level, but some have their unique way like Ruca. Which paves the way moving forward for potential superstars to go against the traditional path.
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Ruca described how her path to WWE NXT began:
"“I got a DM on Instagram from the WWE recruiting page and at first I thought it was not real because I didn’t know how people got into WWE. I wasn’t a super big fan at the time. So, when I saw that, I was like there’s no way. So, I showed my boyfriend and he’s like you have to do this. That’s insane. I looked into it and figured like, if I go to the tryout and don’t make it, it’s one hell of a story to tell people. I got the opportunity to try out, how crazy is that? If I do make it, then we’ll see what happens.”"
Within’ a year, Ruca has already made a name for herself in NXT and finds herself as one of the top women on the show. From the first time she did her “Soul Snatcher” on an episode of NXT Level Up.
To her displaying her impeccable athleticism during the Women’s Battle Royal two weeks ago:
Winning the fans over is always the first step as an up-and-coming superstar. Whether you’re a heel or babyface, she has done that. She is one of, if not the most athletic woman in NXT and has arguably one of the best finishers as well.
If WWE Creative handles this correctly, Ruca could become a top face not only in NXT, but on Smackdown or Raw as well in the future. Keep in mind, she is just 23 years old as well. Tons of upside here and the sky is the limit.
In a short period, Ruca has become what the WWE Universe expected Nikkita Lyons to be. If you look at where they are both at right now, Ruca getting a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship makes more sense than Lyons. It could be Lyons’ injury that set her back, but it just shows how quickly things can change. I believe that if handled with care, WWE NXT has a star in the making and a future Women’s Champion in Sol Ruca.
