WWE WrestleMania 39 Predictions: Roman Reigns Will Bury Cody Rhodes

Austin Theory (c) vs. John Cena [United States Title]
Austin Theory and John Cena have a lot in common as of late. Not only did they both fail their MITB cash ins but they both did U.S. Open Challenges. Theory has made it very clear in recent weeks that he is taking shots at John Cena for a potential WrestleMania match. He shouts Cena’s signature catchphrase “The Champ is HERE!” every week on Raw and is now doing a U.S. Open Challenge against Edge this week. Eventually, Cena will return to challenge Theory for the title and put Theory over because there’s no way Cena is winning the belt with his Hollywood duties afoot.
Prediction: Austin Theory (via pinfall)
Gunther (c) vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre [Intercontinental Title]
Sheamus will dethrone Gunther to win his first Intercontinental Championship and thereby achieve his Ultimate Grand Slam. Sheamus made it known that he aims to defeat Gunther at WrestleMania in their long term trilogy. He lost at Clash at the Castle but won at Extreme Rules. WrestleMania is Sheamus’ time to shine. It can be argued that McIntyre needs a win here as a consolation prize from losing to Roman, but he already won the IC Title before. Sheamus needs it more and WWE can protect Gunther in defeat by booking Sheamus to pin McIntyre.
