AEW has continued to grow in the women’s division, but there is room for more.

AEW has continued to make great strives to make its women’s division. The women’s division is in a different place than it was during the first incarnation, and that’s great news for all fans of women’s wrestling.

There is still room to grow and sadly there are many talents that have not been signed yet who should have been signed a long time ago. It’s not uncommon for there to be a few women unsigned, but these five particular women would be game-changers for a variety of reasons.

5. Fallen Flower Kikyo

Kikyo has struck fear in the hearts of many in the independent wrestling circuit, and she would be a major gain for AEW. The most notable thing that makes Kikyo stand out is the fact she is a highly unorthodox competitor with a mix of speed and strength in her game.

A dream match on the roster would be the Fallen Flower Kikyo against the reigning TBS champion Jade Cargill. With Kikyo’s strength and speed, it’s sure to give Jade some problems due to Jade’s normally neutralizing offense, but Jade would be forced to change her playbook completely.

4. Shaloncé Royal

The Fighting Siren has already made numerous appearances on AEW and in that short amount of time, she has made a lasting impression to show why she should be signed. Even when she didn’t appear on AEW, her momentum kept growing as time went by.

She is in the midst of a historic OVW women’s championship reign and as history has indicated, any woman who has held that title would go on to have massive success later on. Every day of her title reign is another day of history in the making and why she should be with AEW.

Even though Shaloncé has been against competitors in the past, her dream match on AEW would be against Willow Nightingale. Two of arguably the most colorful personalities going against each other would be an interesting clash on AEW and the perfect way to set the tone long-term.

3. Rachelle Riveter

This is a rising star in the making who has quickly grabbed the attention of many in a short period of time. Rachelle’s natural charisma and being such a physically gifted athlete makes her a perfect fit for AEW.

Rachelle is typically outmatched in some shape or form when in the ring, but the one thing that makes her different is her confidence and endurance. It has truly made her hard to keep down in so many cases.

A dream match for Rachelle would have to be against Serena Deeb. Rachelle has similar qualities to Serena in terms of durability. The big difference is Serena’s technical excellence, it would be interesting to see if Rachelle would be able to endure it in a match.

2. Brittany Wonder

She is the crown jewel of the West Coast and it’s an absolute crime that she hasn’t even had an appearance on AEW Dark yet. Brittany is a wrestler who should have been on the radar for the longest time. She is truly an athlete who has evolved over the years and AEW fans should get a taste of that evolution.

Brittany is a well-rounded athlete with charisma and she has always been a force to be reckoned with. If people didn’t believe in superheroes before, they would become a believer after watching Brittany. Every match is different and she’s constantly adding to her hero-like arsenal in the ring.

A dream match for Brittany would actually be the current reigning ROH women’s champion, Athena. Bonus points if their match is for the ROH women’s championship. Athena has super-hero qualities herself, it would be a match that would have to be on a pay-per-view due to their star power.

1. Holidead

Holidead is perhaps the most dedicated, hard-working, game-changing superstar to ever grace the ring. She is a marketing genius capable of turning a little into something major and special. She is the definition of a super athlete with being a very well-rounded wrestler in all aspects.

Holidead has put fear in the hearts of many and she has already made an appearance on AEW in the past, but it wasn’t enough. She is currently with Women of Wrestling and striking fear in the roster, but Tony Khan would be a fool to not take advantage of one of the most creative and athletic stars in the game.

A dream match would be against Saraya for many reasons. When Saraya was in WWE making waves with women’s evolution, Holidead was quickly making a name for herself. They have had unique journeys with success, but they have just missed each other in terms of being a headline in a major company against each other. This would be a story that would elevate AEW to new heights with the unpredictable Holidead.

The best-case scenario is signing all five of these women at the same time and watching them spread their magic on AEW. Time will only tell when these five women will be presented with the opportunity to become all elite.
