There are millions of fans around the world that are enjoying both WWE and AEW right now. It would be fun to see an AEW x WWE Forbidden Door show.

As many people are aware, AEW has a ton of former WWE wrestlers on their roster and has already faced some of the talents currently in WWE. In some cases, some wrestlers are a bigger attraction in AEW than they were in WWE and vice versa.

Since both products are at their peak right now and are bigger and better than ever before, I figured it would be fun to create a dream match card for an AEW/WWE Forbidden Door show.

Extreme Rules Match: Chris Jericho vs. Cody Rhodes

This is a match that would be great to kick off the night with. Jericho being reunited with all of his “Jericholics,” along with his new AEW fanbase should get him a huge crowd pop to start things off. On the other hand, you have Cody Rhodes, who will get a huge crowd pop as well. A fun match that should get the energy flowing early.

Jamie Hayter vs. Rhea Ripley

Between AEW and WWE, four women are head and shoulders above the rest of their competition. We will get to the other two later, but Hayter and Ripley would put on a classic match. The AEW Women’s World Champion head-to-head against the Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Orange Cassidy vs. Austin Theory

The AEW International Champion, Cassidy, could be the perfect opponent to knock the current WWE United States Champion Theory down a few notches. Theory is still riding high off of his victory over John Cena at WrestleMania, but Cassidy could put him to the test.

4-Way Tag Match: The Gunns vs. FTR vs. The Usos vs. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens

The battle of who is the greatest tag team in the world. This could end up being a match of the night candidate. This has banger written all over it. Arguably, these are the four best tag teams between the two companies. It would be great to see them all go at it to determine the best tag team right now in pro wrestling.

6-Man Elimination Battle Royal (Winner gets a title shot in their promotion): Jon Moxley vs. Adam Page vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Darby Allin

This is where we have a little fun. What fun is an AEW/WWE merger show without some matches with stipulations? It also would be a great way to showcase more talent in both companies without just doing single matches. The winner of this elimination match gets a title shot. Something equivalent to the Money in The Bank briefcase. These are all men deserving of a title match of their choosing.

6-Woman Elimination Battle Royal (Winner gets a title shot in their promotion): Britt Baker vs. Athena vs. Saraya vs. Asuka vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan

Not only are there two former WWE superstars in this match, but both Saraya and Athena are thriving right now in AEW as well. Another elimination match for a future title shot would be a perfect way to showcase more women at this Forbidden Door show.

Gunther vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

Two powerhouses that have both been having an incredible last year in their respective cases. Gunther is looking to surpass over 300 days as Intercontinental Champion pretty soon. Meanwhile, Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Wardlow a little over a month ago to become the TNT Champion. These two superstars will be looking to make a huge statement and this would be a great match to watch.

Jade Cargill vs. Bianca Belair

Everyone wants to see this match. Both Black women have been on top as both the TBS Champion and the Raw Women’s Champion. Cargill has the longest reign in AEW Championship history, as she is close to surpassing over 500 days with the TBS Title. Simultaneously, Belair is close to surpassing over 400 days as champion as well. This is a match that everyone wants to see and this event doesn’t take place without it.

Seth Rollins vs. Bryan Danielson

Inject this match into my veins now. In my mind, these are the two best pro wrestlers in the world right now. Not only could this be the match of the night, but this could also be the match of the year.

Yes, these two have faced each other multiple times in WWE, but both are at the peak of their careers right now. When it comes to in-ring ability, both Rollins and Danielson are so seamless and flawless, that at this point in their career, it doesn’t even matter whom they face. They could elevate anyone. This would be a great match and has banger written all over.

Roman Reigns vs. MJF

Who is the best in the world? This is bigger than being the biggest heel. This is a contest that would showcase the face of AEW against the face of WWE. We all know the story of Roman Reigns. He is approaching 1,000 days as Undisputed Universal Champion.

Meanwhile, MJF has only been AEW World Champion for nearly 200 days. But, both have solidified themselves as the top dog of their company, so this match has to happen. We also need a talk segment/promo before the match. Would love to hear what they have to say about each other.

Everyone has their dream match card so feel free to comment on some of the matches that you would love to see at an AEW/WWE Forbidden Door Show.
