It’s time to move LA Knight into the main event via the 2023 Money in the Bank briefcase.

Money in the Bank annually brings an opportunity to push WWE’s next big star. In recent memory, two out of the past three years have had underwhelming winners in Otis and Austin Theory, who never got the chance to cash in for a world title.

That leaves the question of who should win the men’s briefcase this year to reestablish Money in the Bank as a must-win match. LA Knight is the perfect fit to win this year’s match at the July 1 pay-per-view, and potentially cash in on Roman Reigns or the first World Heavyweight Champion.

Ever since losing the Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match against Bray Wyatt at the Royal Rumble, LA Knight has lost two out of his last 4 television matches against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. However, Knight’s past two wins have been against hall of famer Rey Mysterio and Butch of the Brawling Brutes this past Friday on Smackdown.

Gaining momentum with the fans is a huge component of who would be a great candidate for being Mr. Money in the Bank and in that match against Butch, LA Knight had the fans right behind him. Knight’s signature catchphrase “yeah” is already starting to catch on as one of WWE’s most overacts.

To make him the perfect candidate to win Money in the Bank there is still momentum to be gained for the 40-year-old rising star. Whether Knight is drafted to Raw or Smackdown it’s time for him to start picking up wins weekly instead of splitting wins and losses at about a 50/50 split.

Knight in the coming weeks should be taking on mid-carders and running through them like it’s nothing. Rematches against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods could be a starting point for Knight to pick up some momentum-shifting wins. Additionally, Knight does his best work on the microphone, and it’s time for him to get some significant on-screen promo time to call out his next opponents.

LA Knight in his short main roster run has proved he can hang in the ring with the likes of Bray Wyatt, Rey Mysterio, and Cody Rhodes. It should be only a matter of time before he is in the main event picture, and the perfect way to launch him into the top of the roster is to crown LA Knight Mr. Money in the Bank.
