WWE MITB 2023 Predictions: Cody Rhodes Will Finish The Story

Austin Theory (c) vs. Sheamus [United States Championship]
Austin Theory is already in a feud with Sheamus, as he retained the title against Sheamus via nefarious means on SmackDown last week. However, Sheamus will get his rematch with a home-court advantage in the UK. Sheamus lost his title match against Gunther at UK’s Clash at the Castle in 2022, but he will redeem himself with a title victory against Theory this time around. At the end of the day, it seems that this foreseeable U.S. Title victory will be a consolation prize for Sheamus since he was not able to capture the prestigious IC Title that eluded his entire career.

Asuka (c) vs. Bianca Belair [Raw Women’s Championship]
Bianca Belair always says that she stays ready so that she doesn’t have to get ready, but she was not ready for Asuka. Now that Asuka solidified her heel turn during Belair’s 400-day title reign ceremony by dethroning Belair with the evil mist, Belair will want to invoke her rematch clause and seek her revenge for this PPV. It seems that this feud will stretch to SummerSlam, where the trilogy will likely end. Henceforth, it would probably be best to expect a screwy finish here that protects Belair in defeat whilst still assuring that Asuka retains the title so soon after winning it.
