It’s time for another NXT television special. This one, titled Gold Rush, will take up the next two weeks of programming and will feature a pair of world championship matches in the respective main events.

As part of WWE’s (and company CEO Nick Khan’s) hope to boost NXT as a third brand, fans will see World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defend his title against Bron Breakker. They will also get four other matches, including one for the North American Championship with a special guest referee.

Let’s predict what will happen at NXT Gold Rush.

Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend vs. Valentina Feroz and Yulisa León- There’s a chance that this one looks pretty rough, as all four are quite green. Feroz and León are usually asked to put other wrestlers over, with the Meta-4 forming only a few weeks ago, that’s probably what they’ll do here. Prediction: Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend beat Valentina Feroz and Yulisa León (Jackson pins Feroz)

Dana Brooke vs. Cora Jade- WWE tried to sell Dana Brooke’s return to NXT as a big deal, but it’s hard to get excited about a wrestler whose recent career highlight was winning the now-retired 24/7 Title. Jade won’t get much out of beating her, but that’s what will happen, particularly if this is the first of several matches between the two. Prediction: Cora Jade pins Dana Brooke

Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen vs. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger vs. Edris Enofé and Malik Blade (Number one contender’s match)- None of these teams are beating Gallus, so it doesn’t matter who wins this one. Enofé and Blade would be the most compelling opponents, so let’s go with them. Prediction: Edris Enofé and Malik Blade win (Blade pins Brooks Jensen)

Wes Lee (c) vs. Tyler Bate (NXT North American Championship; Mustafa Ali is the special referee)- Bringing Mustafa Ali to NXT to referee a North American Championship match instead of, you know, wrestle the champion is an…interesting use of the talented Chicagoan (baffling is probably more accurate). Even with the stipulation, though, this one should be a top contender for Match of the Night. Ali will probably call things down the middle early on before counting screwing up the finish and turning on both babyfaces to set up a triple-threat match. Prediction: Wes Lee pins Tyler Bate to retain the North American Championship

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Bron Breakker (World Heavyweight Championship)- Rollins’ quest to build up the World Heavyweight Title’s prestige continues. Meanwhile, this is a big test for Breakker against one of the company’s top stars. Rollins will work hard to make Breakker look good before getting the pin and moving on to Finn Bálor. Prediction: Seth Rollins pins Bron Breakker to retain the World Heavyweight Championship
