WWE SmackDown is on the road to WWE MITB 2023. On this week’s go-home episode, there are two title matches scheduled in the UK: (1) Asuka (c) vs. Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women’s Championship and (2) Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. Pretty Deadly for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Meanwhile, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, will be returning to address the Bloodline Civil War, and Logan Paul will be on the Grayson Waller Effect to speak about his aspirations as the future Mr. MITB one night away from the event.

With that being said, the following will focus on the two scheduled title matches, especially when it comes to Charlotte burying Asuka in what should be an exciting episode of WWE SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on June 16, 2023, live on FOX and Charlotte Flair will definitely bury Asuka in their title match.

Asuka (c) vs. Charlotte Flair [WWE Women’s Championship]

Unless Bianca Belair interferes in this match, Charlotte Flair will dethrone Asuka to become the new WWE Women’s Champion because she is Charlotte Flair. There is no storyline reason for this victory. It is merely stat padding her title reign until she surpasses her father’s record. WWE has not deviated from the proclivity to book Charlotte in an endless cycle of (1) winning the championship, (2) losing the championship, (3) going on vacation, (4) returning to win the championship again. It’s unfortunate that Asuka will be a transitional champion again, but Charlotte gets what Charlotte wants every time.

Prediction: Charlotte Flair

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. Pretty Deadly [Undisputed Tag Team Championships]

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will defeat Pretty Deadly to retain the Undisputed Tag Team Championships because they still have unfinished business with Imperium and Judgment Day, and this title match is merely used to give recent NXT call ups, Pretty Deadly, some exposure in their home plate in the UK. Owens and Zayn have been entertaining tag team champions since dethroning the Usos, and they deserve to respectfully lose the titles on a big PPV like SummerSlam to a top tag team that has sufficient credibility and momentum in this tag division.

Prediction: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
