WWE Raw Predictions: Drew McIntyre Will Pulverize Jey Uso

facebooktwitterreddit

WWE Raw is continuing its road to WWE Fastlane 2023, which is currently up in the air pertaining to any ongoing Raw feuds.

On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes is scheduled to battle “Dirty Dom” in a rematch from WWE MITB 2023, Shinsuke Nakamura will face Ricochet in a rematch after a DQ finish two weeks ago and a backstage attack last week, New Day is scheduled to battle Viking Raiders in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match, and Drew McIntyre is scheduled to battle Main Event Jey Uso in what seems to be the birth of a nascent heel turn from “The Scottish Psychopath”.

In other news regarding WWE Raw, Nia Jax made a shocking return to Raw in the main event last week. It will be interesting to see what part she plays in the world title picture with Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez. Zoey Stark and Shayna Baslzer formed an alliance to pursue tag gold against Chelsea Green and Piper Niven.

Also, Tomasso Ciampa joined forces with Alpha Academy to take down Imperium, so it seems that Ciampa’s backstage conversations with Adam Pearce have somehow led him to a future IC Title opportunity against Gunther, which should be a banger.

With that being said, the following will focus on the announced matches and the idea of Drew McIntyre pulverizing “Main Event” Jey Uso on the road to WWE Fastlane 2023.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on September 18, 2023, live on the USA Network, and Drew McIntyre will pulverize Jey Uso en route to WWE Fastlane 2023.

Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso [Main Event]

Jey Uso will defeat Drew McIntyre because McIntyre needs a reason to officially turn heel after all the teases in the past few weeks. Losing this match will frustrate McIntyre enough to brutalize and decimate Uso to the point that he incapacitates him and leaves a sour taste in the mouths of the fans in attendance.

McIntyre expressed how he has been fed up with The Bloodline ever since they took away his moment against Roman Reigns for the world title in his hometown at Clash at the Castle in 2022. Now is his time to finally get his revenge and it won’t be pretty.

Prediction: Jey Uso

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Ricochet [Grudge Match]

Shinsuke Nakamura will defeat Ricochet because he is still rebuilding himself for a title rematch against Seth Rollins at Fastlane. Although Nakamura lost to Rollins at Payback, Rollins made it clear that he wants to battle Nakamura again to teach him a lesson about talking about his wife and kids.

Clearly, Nakamura plays mind games eminently well. In fact, he plays it so well that the champion is peculiarly begging to defend the title against the challenger, who plans to accept the challenge on his terms. Thus, Ricochet is merely fodder for Nakamura here.

Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura

New Day vs. Viking Raiders [2-out-of-3 Falls Rubber Match]

New Day will defeat the Viking Raiders in what seems to be the end of the trilogy between these two teams. When New Day returned on the August 7, 2023 episode of WWE Raw, they defeated Viking Raiders. Then, the Viking Raiders got a win back on the August 28, 2023 episode of WWE Raw.

This rubber match will break the tie and hopefully determine the next number-one contender for Judgment Day’s Undisputed Tag Titles. Since a babyface team is needed to battle the heel champs, New Day fits the bill, so they will win here and battle the champs in “The Battle of the Days.”

Prediction: New Day

Cody Rhodes vs. Dirty Dom [MITB 2023 Rematch]

Cody Rhodes will defeat NXT North American Champion, Dirty Dom, not only because Dom has no business beating the face of the company but also because WWE has no problem booking NXT Champs to lose on live main roster television. Just ask the NXT World Champ, Carmelo Hayes, who lost to Finn Balor on the June 26, 2023 episode of WWE Raw.

At the end of the day, Cody is directionless on Raw since he wants to finish the story against Roman, who is on SmackDown. It’s only a matter of time until he gets traded there in response to Jey Uso coming to Raw.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes
