CM Punk will return to WWE after 10 years at Royal Rumble 2024 (Prediction)

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Gunther [World Heavyweight Championship]

Seth Rollins will retain the World Title against Gunther because he must walk into WrestleMania as the champion to fulflil his journey of main eventing Mania once and for all. He was supposed to walk into WrestleMania 32 as the champion, but his MCL injury hindered his regression. And now, he has a worked back injury solelt because he has been carrying this show on his back for far too long. More importantly, CM Punk needs to choose Seth Rollins as his WrestleMania opponent, especially after Rollins called him a ‘cancer’ who should never come back to his locker room.

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes [WWE Universal Championship]

If Roman Reigns vs. The Rock is really the plan for WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes will have to finish the story before walking into Mania as the champion. Royal Rumble is a big enough PPV to get that moment whilst also preventing a repeat Rumble victory for Rhodes. There are many fahns advocating for Punk to battle Rhodes at Mania, but that is a very bad idea since both need a win at this year’s Mania. A main event player like Randy Orton would be the perfect opponent to lose to and elevate Rhodes at Mania, especially due to their Legacy faction history back in 2009-2010.
