AJ Lee’s return on the September 5 edition of WWE SmackDown was a monumental moment. As of this writing, less than 24 hours later, the two YouTube clips highlighting Lee’s return have a combined 3.5 million views. One of the most important women’s performers of all time is back and it looks like she’s back for a substantial run. With a stacked women’s roster in front of her, here are three big matches and feuds fans would love to see for AJ Lee.

IYO Sky

IYO Sky is the “ace” of the WWE women’s division. In 2025, Sky is talked about as not only the best women’s wrestler on the roster, but the best wrestler in the company, regardless of gender. That says a lot for a performer who sat in the background initially when she returned to the company after nearly leaving. She’s the name that WWE counts on when they need a big women’s match and she delivers homeruns every time she’s up to bat.

Iyo Sky versus AJ Lee would be a fun match to see. They are both wrapped up in their own angles and it would take some time to get around to them, but it is still one of those dream matches that WWE has in its back pocket. Just don’t end it on a disqualification please.

Roxanne Perez

For years, Roxanne Perez haunted CM Punk to get AJ Lee to return to wrestling. In the eyes of many, Perez is the secret child that Punk and Lee had years ago, haunting them both as the next big name of women’s wrestling. What once looked like a pipe dream now looks all the more possible. Judgment Day has been a driving force on WWE Monday Night Raw for years, and now Perez is one of the central faces in the angle. At some point, this will bring her face-to-face with AJ Lee, and that is a moment she’s waited to have her entire life.

Naomi

This one is more of a long shot thanks to timing. As AJ Lee returned on SmackDown, Naomi was having a “crash out” as the kids say online. That’s because Naomi is set to be out for an extended amount of time as she and Jimmy Uso welcome their first child into the world. Naomi was on the tail end of the generation that AJ Lee helped start, and it would be fun to see this iteration of Naomi get to face off against AJ Lee at some point. Will it happen? Only time will tell, but fans are hoping that they get this moment to share in the ring.
