2025 is only four days young and the wrestling action has already picked up. All Elite Wrestling has a packed calendar, not only within its ropes, but with New Japan Pro Wrestling as well. AEW continues to stand out as the place where “the best wrestle” and there’s mounds of evidence to support that stance With so much on the horizon, here are three bold predictions for All Elite Wrestling in 2025.

ATHENA will move to the main roster

This is more of a necessity than a prediction. There’s zero reason or justification that Tony Khan can make as to why Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion, Athena is not booked on the main roster. She’s held down ROH as the “Forever Champion” for multiple years now, and while her male peers get booked on the weekly shows, she has remained on Honor Club. Even as fans continue to push to see her in a bigger role on the main roster. Khan must fix this as anything less would be seen as a slap in the face for not only Athena, but women’s wrestling entirely.

Darby Allin will win the AEW World Championship

Darby Allin has been a made man in AEW for years. Since his signing, it was clear that the organization saw something in him. He’s remained well-protected every step of the way, and he’s frequently booked near the top of the card. Jon Moxley is the current big bad in AEW and at some point, he’s going to face off against a vengeful Allin. When that happens, he’ll be coming for the championship. At some point in 2025, Darby Allin will get to hold the AEW World Championship around his waist.

The Outrunners will win the AEW Tag Team Championship

In 2024, tag team wrestling was pushed to the back burner. Not only in AEW, but across all wrestling. Fans want to see more tag action in 2025, and more that is meaningful to the promotion. AEW has a slew of beloved tag teams, and The Outrunners rank among the most popular. Their continued fan support will see them go on a strong run in 2025. One that will culminate with them securing the tag titles, even if it is for a brief run.
