3 ways Miro fits into the WWE

Miro would be a huge addition to the WWE roster if he returns to that company in the near future.

It has been nearly two years since Miro was last seen in a major wrestling promotion. Other than his February match against Alberto Del Rio in QPW, fans haven’t seen “The Redeemer” in any relevant aspect of professional wrestling. Expectations are that he’ll eventually return to WWE. If so, here are some predictions to where he’ll fit on the roster on first arrival.

There’s no telling if or when Miro will return to WWE. Still, he’s a huge name who fans would want to see back in the fold. He was able to get over with the fanbase during his initial run with the company, even as Vince McMahon did everything he could to cut into his perception with the audience.

Expectations were higher for how things played out in All Elite Wrestling, but Miro still had his moments. Taking what he showed fans during both of those tenures, here are three interesting ways he’d fit right in with a return to WWE.

Challenging for the Intercontinental Championship

Miro was a three-time WWE United States Champion, but he never achieved much else as a singles champion in his career. He captured the AEW TNT Championship for 140 days in All Elite Wrestling, but that was his only title run there as well.

Seeing him return to WWE and immediately step into the IC title scene would be massive. If Bron Breakker makes it out of WrestleMania 41 with the title, imagine the reaction if Miro returned on that following episode of Monday Night Raw to “congratulate” him. The fans would be invested and these two going against each other would be a massive showdown.

Facing John Cena

Miro and John Cena had quite the history against one another. According to Cagematch, they’ve had 33 singles matches, with Cena winning 31 of them. Two of these matches featured them battling over the United States title in 2015.

How would Miro and John Cena interact today? This version of Cena isn’t the same one that Miro would remember from his time with the company. Would they battle, or would they team together to cause carnage? Either way, this would be something worth exploring.

Miro versus GUNTHER

This is one of those dream matches no one was thinking of, but is certainly an intriguing prospect. These two massive but excellent professional wrestlers, locking up for a 15–20-minute match would be a glorious affair. GUNTHER may not make it out of WrestleMania 41 as the champion, but it would be even better if these two battled for the championship. Plus, their promos would be amazing. Miro versus Gunther is one of those matches fans have to get at some point if it becomes possible.
