Women's wrestling is booming in 2025. There are many opinions out there that its the ladies who are carrying the business across all promotions. Even in WWE, where the division has been terribly booked for years, has several stars who are not only over with the fanbase, but putting on exceptional matches consistently. Still, there were some who weren't used to their highest capacity. Kayden Carter, now going by her original name of Lacey Lane, is one of those performers. Now that she's no longer with WWE, she's looking elsewhere and All Elite Wrestling could be one of those locations.

"I think AEW is my speed, because, you know, those girls can [expletive] go," Lane said while speaking on Busted Open Radio. "I love the way they work. They don't bring the [expletive]. They bring the fists and you know me, I'm a girl that's down to fight. I love that."

The idea of "go to AEW" is a phrase that is used all too often when a performer is cut from the WWE. But, there are instances in which it could be the right move. For example, there's a pleathora of fans calling for AEW to sign the recently released Dakota Kai. Kai is a fan favorite who has years of experience across some of the biggest organizations in wrestling. While lesser known, Lane has an expansive background of her own, spanning nearly a decade in wrestling. She could be an interesting addition to the AEW roster.

Lacey Lane may not be a name that jumps off the page as a recent highlight from the WWE women's division, but she certainly had her highmarks. Along with Kacy Catanzaro, she became a two-time women's tag team champion, holding the belts one in NXT and on the main roster. She and Catanzaro were perhaps the best version of women's tag team wrestling in North America in years. They had a diverse moveset and were frequently pushing the envelope coming up with new tandem manuevers. Unfortunately, WWE has never been serious about booking the women's tag division and that hurt their climb as both a tag team and potential singles performers.

On top of that, Lane has a very unique look which is important in professional wrestling. Over the years, AEW has done a great job building a diverse women's division, and adding another performer who could stand out would not hurt the equation. Lane could work as a featured performer in Ring of Honor before shifting into a better spot in AEW, just as someone like Queen Aminata did in the last few years.

Lacey Lane has much more to offer than she was given the chance to show while in WWE. If Tony Khan wanted to add her to the AEW women's division, he'd be signing a capabale performer worth a roster spot.
