WWE’s most ridiculous and probably hilarious couple is back together. Dominik Mysterio needed the entire Judgment Day to defeat John Cena, and when we say the entire group, that included a returning Liv Morgan who made a surprise return to help Mysterio regain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
John Cena battled through everyone. First, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez attacked Cena while Dominik Mysterio faked an injury. Then Finn Balor and JD McDonagh tried to make the save, only to be dispatched as well. Then out came Morgan, surprising everyone. First she laid out Mysterio, seeming to make the babyface turn complete. That led to her jumping in Mysterio’s arms and then kicking him in the groin setting up the finishing sequence.
Liv Morgan was forced out of action back in June when she suffered a shoulder injury during a match against Kairi Sane. Early speculation was that the injury would keep Morgan out until early 2026, with most thinking that set her up as a surprise entrant into the Royal Rumble and early favorite to win the entire thing. That wasn’t the case, as Morgan popped up much sooner and right into one of the biggest stories on WWE Monday Night Raw.
Liv Morgan is back and it creates an interesting angle within Judgment Day
It is wild to think about how far Judgment Day has come over the years. The group that started out as a joke under Adam Copeland has become one of the most important factions in WWE these last few years. The group has managed to shift through members and angles, all the while staying relevant near the top of the card. Throw in how many titles this group has held, and it is hard to see them as anything other than a success. Morgan’s return creates the perfect opening for a major storyline.
Dominik Mysterio left the Survivor Series match with Liv Morgan in his arms, while the rest of Judgment Day tried to collect themselves. The door is open to tell a story that Morgan and Mysterio have worked together for months, keeping the rest of Judgment Day out of the loop. That creates animosity both between Balor and Mysterio, along with the women in the group. As Dominik Mysterio slowly makes that move to a babyface character, seeing both him and Morgan forced into that position because the rest of the group turns on them is the right way to get there.
The WWE Women’s Division got a huge boost during Survivor Series. Liv Morgan came back from a shoulder injury that took most of the summer from her. Now that she’s back, there’s a big angle and hopefully a major push on deck for not only Morgan, but Mysterio and the entire Judgment Day.
