Mandy Rose would be an interesting addition to the AEW women's division
All Elite Wrestling has a strong women’s division that continues to grow with new additions. This year has seen women like Kamille and Deonna Purrazzo join the fold. Then there’s Mercedes Mone coming in and changing the game. There’s another name out there who an interesting addition to the roster would be. Mandy Rose coming into AEW would be unexpected but would have the potential to spark some immediate interest in the women’s division.
At first glance, fans of AEW may scoff at the idea of Mandy Rose joining the company. Her time in WWE didn’t receive the highest of praise. Her later work in WWE NXT was her strongest and she did do well when given the chance to grow into that role. She’s been out of action for nearly two years, and the biggest question is where would her in-ring work be at this point in time.
But AEW wouldn’t need Rose to be a high-level performer from bell to bell. She’d be more of a character used to spur big reactions out of the fans. AEW is the place “where the best wrestle,” and that is true from a week-to-week basis. But AEW has its fair share of sports entertainment as well.
That is exactly where Mandy Rose would fit in. Give her the opportunity to play off characters like Toni Storm, Mariah May, Mercedes Mone, and even The Elite. She wouldn’t need to be a frequent wrestler, but enough to get over with the fans and justify a moment chasing after a championship. There could be fun and certainly some interest generated if Tony Khan and company looked to bring in Mandy Rose for a run.
There are some performers that AEW fans would never expect to walk through the door. Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose is such a competitor. However, it would be fun if she were brought in for a short run as it would certainly grab headlines and pull some eyeballs over to the women’s division.
