While the PWI annual rankings aren't "real life" they are a fun barometer to use when looking at who has put together a strong year in professional wrestling. As with all lists, the PWI lists are meant to drive engagement and debate, but there are still fun tools to praise well-known stars and perhaps uncover some hidden gems. The 2025 edition of the PWI Women's 250 is no different. This year's list is led by Mercedes Mone and Toni Storm, easily the two best women in the business today.

All Elite Wrestling took the top two spots on the annual list that highlights women across wrestling. The top ten was as follows: Mercedes Mone (AEW), Toni Storm (AEW), Saya Kamitani (STARDOM), Tiffany Stratton (WWE), Stephanie Vaquer (WWE), IYO SKY (WWE), ATHENA (AEW), Sareee (Freelancer), Naomi (WWE), and Rhea Ripley (WWE).

There are several names on this list that fans of North American wrestling will recognize. But what is so great about these undertakings is that they are a great opportunity to introduce fans to performers they may have never seen.

Take Saya Kamitani for example. Kamitani is the current NJPW STRONG Women's Champion and the World of STARDOM Champion. The 28 year old performer has six years of experience under her belt and has become one of the most interesting names competing in Japan.

Then there is Sareee, who many will reocgnize from her brief stint in WWE. However, Sareee is one of the best wrestlers in the world today and consistently seen as such. She's currently one-half of the AAAW Tag Team Champions and has held several titles in 2025.

Professional wrestling lists are a surefire way to start disingenious debates online, but that doesn't make them less fun (sometimes). The 2025 PWI Women's 250 is live and All Elite Wrestling can take one step closer to boasting about being the place where the best wrestle and specifically the best women in the industry.
