During the February 14 episode of WWE SmackDown, some new information about who attacked Jade Cargill came to light. This is an angle that fans are paying close attention to, as it has the potential to open things up for some members of the women’s division. While some new suspects in the attack were pointed out, the real attacker will be revealed to be Naomi, with Bianca Belair’s support.

Nick Aldis showed off new security footage that showed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez backstage in the area as Cargill was put into an ambulance. This is going to signal them as the woman who attacked Cargill. They have everything to gain, potentially getting a step closer to the WWE Tag Team Championship. But in typical pro wrestling fashion, this is nothing more than a red herring.

Naomi has all the motivations to take Jade Cargill out

To find the attacker, look no further than the person who has gained the most, Naomi. Since Cargill’s injury, Naomi stepped into the open slot as Bianca Belair’s tag team partner. They captured the titles and have gone on to hold them for 64 days as of this writing.

Cargill, Belair, and Naomi were collectively called the “Big Three,” as they have reached near-iconic status as Black women in the industry. Even though they were a group of sorts, Cargill and Belair were presented at a level slightly higher than Naomi, even though the latter had more experience in the space. That idea could be used as the start of Naomi’s justification for turning on Cargill.

What if Bianca Belair had something to do with it?

But it doesn’t have to stop there. While Cargill and Belair were still together, the commentary team consistently played up the idea that they weren’t on the same page. The hints were coming that a split between the two women was on the way. Cargill versus Belair is a WrestleMania-quality feud that the women’s division needs. Adding Naomi to the mix is an interesting wrinkle to the angle.

Belair and Naomi can use a fresh look at their characters. They are both strong babyfaces, and they’ve played that role for years. Imagine a shift where they are both heels, taking on the “newcomer” to WWE. Yes, Cargill isn’t completely new as she’s been in the company for more than a year, but Belair and Naomi certainly have tenure. Plus, it will be interesting to see if Cargill can stand on her own as a babyface in WWE.

Jade Cargill versus Naomi and Bianca Belair has all the makings of a main-event feud. The fans will be into it and the online wrestling community will certainly have much to say as well. As the “investigation” into who attacked Cargill continues, be ready to learn that it was Naomi who committed the act.
