The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship is getting solid booking thanks to being with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. These two women are looked at as major stars in the company, which has helped the tag titles and the division get solid placement on the shows. But, as with most tag teams, there are hints that Belair and Cargill will come to an end. Pitting these two women against each other has big match feels across the board. WrestleMania-level big match feels.

A large contingent of wrestling fans are watching closely to see how WWE leverages minority talent. While there are complaints about how Black men or Asian-descent performers are leveraged, there’s a lot of momentum behind Black women across WWE’s shows. Cargill and Belair are in a solid position. Nia Jax holds the WWE Women’s Championship. Jadia Parker and Kelani Jordan are featured heavily on WWE NXT. Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend are also getting solid placement in the women’s division. There’s a lot to celebrate. The trail that Mercedes Mone and others before her help craft is paying off with multiple names to watch in the promotion today.

It's that work that has elevated Jade Cargill and Biana Belair into a position in which they could have a huge singles match at WrestleMania 41. It would make a lot of sense for this match to be a part of that show. The duo should hold the tag team titles through the rest of 2024. While WWE is missing a bit of the boat with some of the teams in the tag division, there are enough around who could be built into viable contenders to take those titles.

WWE is constantly hinting at a potential brewing animosity between the two women, simply because they are both huge stars in their own right. Liv Morgan mentioned it during her promo segment on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. At some point, they will split and that is where the fun begins.

One of the biggest questions is who will play the heel. Cargill did an excellent job as the arrogant superstar during her tenure in All Elite Wrestling. Even as fans cheered her, she never once broke character and honestly, wasn’t much of a heel, but more of a person who knew she would always get the job done. Belair plays an excellent babyface, but don’t forget she played a similar role when she was introduced in WWE NXT.

At first glance, it would be easy to guess that Cargill would be the one to turn, but what if it were Belair to do so? Belair has long needed a shift in her character, so imagine her playing the role of the threatened WWE veteran, not wanting to be “replaced” by this newcomer. It would be interesting to see Belair present that frustration to the fans and where it would lead. Would Cargill be able to get over as a babyface in the WWE sense? Would fans be willing to boo Belair or would she be more of a heel like Becky Lynch or Kevin Owens – one that isn’t totally wrong in their feelings. There’s a lot to unpack there that would be fun to watch unfold.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are doing great work as tag team champions. Sadly, for their fans, all tag teams eventually come to an end. This one was built for it to end. Jade Cargill versus Bianca Belair would be a massive feud and there’s an interesting story to tell between the two superstars.
