Fans have long made it clear that they love the WWE women’s roster. Whether it be on SmackDown or Monday Night Raw, the ladies consistently put on excellent matches and their characters are some of the most popular on the show. There are several women who stand out as some of the biggest stars and brightest spots of the future in the entire promotion. On the flip side of that, there are several women that are vastly underrated for what they can contribute and WWE needs to find a way to better leverage these women on television.

Michin

Michin is a name that may not immediately scream “underrated,” but she’s one who could give the company so much more if given the chance. She’s frequently used as a performer meant to get other names over, and she does so well. Michin has seen a lot of television time as of late, both on SmackDown and WWE NXT. Her street fight against Nia Jax was well-received and featured a memorable finish to boot. It’s good seeing Michin get so much more television time, but she’s one of those hidden gems who could be a champion if the moment presented itself. With more than 15 years in the industry, it would be great to see her obtain her first singles title since 2018.

Candice LeRae

Candice LeRae is one of the best women’s wrestlers in the industry today. Yet, it is crazy to think that she’s only had 15 televised matches this year according to Cagematch. WWE has been known of frequently misusing performers, but LeRae’s lackadaisical booking must be considered among the worst in recent memory. There’s no telling why, but she has yet to get an opportunity to shine the way she did while in WWE NXT and throughout other companies. If WWE was to institute a women’s midcard championship, she has the right set of abilities, character skills, and fan following to serve as a first champion to help build that title up for the younger talent to come.

Kayden Carter

What happened to Kayden Carter and Katana Chance on the main roster? They came along and were pushed right into the tag team title picture, securing the championships and holding them for 39 days. But since dropping them, they’ve been used as storyline fodder or kept completely off television. This is especially upsetting when thinking about how much of an impact Kayden Carter would have if she was better leveraged as a performer. Carter is a great in-ring performer with a unique move set that she continues to build upon whenever she gets a chance in the ring. On top of that, she has a look that makes her stand out compared to any of her peers on the roster. That’s equally important in the world of sports entertainment. She’s another name that is vastly underrated within WWE.

Hopefully the development of midcard championships for the women’s division will help not only these women, but others on the roster. There’s a big space that needs to be filled. Each of these ladies and several more would thrive in that position.
