Professional wrestling and combat sports were brought closer together thanks to the merger between the WWE and UFC. The creation of the TKO Group Holdings pushed these organizations into one, for better or for worse. Since then, some individuals have made hints at jumping from one to the other, but there doesn’t seem to be any plans for that to happen. While that is thankfully the case, there are some individuals on the WWE roster who could find some success if they did step into the UFC. Here are three acts that could show up in the Octagon and potentially pull out a victory or two.

The Creed Brothers

Julius and Brutus Creed are legit shooters. Known as The Creed Brothers, they are one of the hottest young acts in the tag team division. At some point in the future, they will hold tag team gold on the main roster and keep a firm grip on the group. But if they ever wanted to step into the world of mixed martial arts, both men could find a way to get a win with their base skill set.

Julius wrestled at Duke University where he was a two-time NCAA All-American and a three-time NCAA Academic All-American. He set the Duke record for most wins in a single season and ranked second overall in career wins. He even placed fifth 2016 Olympic trials. Julius is familiar with MMA, as he helped UFC Hall of Famer, Daniel Cormier, prepare for his UFC 214 fight against Jon Jones.

Brutus wrestled at Otterbein University where he graduated with a 108-13 collegiate record. He was a two-time NCAA Division III All-American. He went undefeated his senior year but was unable to compete in the NCAA wrestling championship due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

With both men having such a strong wrestling background, they could easily find a way to get a victory in the heavyweight division.

Ivy Nile

Keeping the conversation with a member of American Made, formerly of Diamond Mine, Ivy Nile is another individual who could pull together some wins in the world of combat sports. Before she made the move to WWE in 2020, Nile participated in both the Titan Games and mixed martial arts as a part of the women’s flyweight division. She only had one amateur fight back in 2018, but she started a foundation that would translate into MMA skills.

Karrion Kross

Karrion Kross is one member of the WWE roster who still can be seen training in gyms around the world. Kross recently earned his Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which is a major accolade, one step away from becoming a Black Belt. Several other performers on the roster celebrated his achievement, pointing out how important it is. Some of the best combat sports competitors have a strong base in grappling-style martial arts such as BJJ. Kross could use those skills to get a victory if he ever found himself in the right fight on a UFC program.
