Free agency and collaboration are two big terms to define 2024 in professional wrestling. Stars are popping up in surprising places. This is especially true for the WWE, as it has allowed several stars to compete in TNA, Bloodsport, and Japanese promotions. Looking across the roster, here are three more names that could benefit from a surprise match or stint in another company.

Natalya – Bloodsport

Reports are swirling that Natalya has re-signed with WWE. She’s a talented veteran who immediately improves a women’s division, not only for what she can do in the ring, but for what she brings behind the curtain as well. There was a lot of interest in where she would go next, with some people pushing for her to show up in All Elite Wrestling. That did not happen, as it looks like she’s going to head back to WWE. If that is the case, allowing her to compete in Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport would be a great change of pace.

Bloodsport is basically pro wrestling’s take on the classic 80s movie with Jean Claude VanDamme. It’s a fun take on scripted fights and has created some interesting matchups. Shayna Baszler versus Miyu Yamashita is set for the show on July 28. Julius Creed and Charlie Dempsey are also on the card. Natalya would fit in that space, allowing her to break out some of the catch wrestling that she developed as the only woman to make it out of the Hart Dungeon. There are some interesting matches that could take place in what would be a fresh view of Natalya.

AJ Styles – TNA

AJ Styles has been on a tear this year. He’s put on great matches with Cody Rhodes and popped up in NOAH for another with Naomichi Marufuji. Styles is reminding the world that he’s one of the best to ever do it. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look like translates into a major title run in WWE as he’s sitting behind a stacked title picture. As that’s the case, it would be great to see him show up on TNA once again.

Styles is one of the names that built TNA. Even though he’s been gone for an extended period of time, that company still recognizes what he did to elevate that organization. He could walk back through the door and immediately demand a title shot, which would be a story within itself. Styles versus Moose and eventually Josh Alexander are dream matches that must happen before his time is up.

The Street Profits – TNA

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins need something fresh. They have been in a holding pattern for what seems to be years, and Bobby Lashley’s recent injury has made it even worse. They are further down on the depth chart than fans would want to recognize and it doesn’t seem like they are set for a big push. Allowing them to go to TNA for a quick stint would go a long way in helping them both get some more buzz around them. Think about some of the tag team and singles matches that would be possible with them on that roster. This is the move they need and now is the time to make it happen.
