5 indie wrestlers that are way overdue for a contract
Ever since Joe Hendry exploded in NXT and in meme culture, a new possibility has opened for wrestlers. Great wrestlers are not just made in-house at the WWE/AEW performance center, they are coming pre-packaged with clout from GCW, MLW, Wrestling Revolver, Black Label Pro, and others. Not only, should WWE/AEW invest in this fresh material for development talent, but some of them are ready to start in Raw, Smackdown and Dynamite.
1. Myron Reed
Say X-division and he appears. Myron Reed calls himself then Yung GOAT, and his matches are a testament to it. He is a faithful mid-carder that promises to make any cruiserweight match into a high flying spectacle. He has been all over the indie world, making great matches with Matt Riddle, The Rascalz, Lio Rush and Mike Bailey. He would make an excellent draw for any middleweight or cruiserweight division.
2. Jordan Oliver
Jordan Oliver may be tall and lanky, but that does not inhibit his in-ring ability and mic skills. He is a cruiserweight, submission artist, and an annoying heel thug that easily gets under the skin of fans. GCW, BLP, and MLW have relied on his fast frenetic antics to get the audience’s blood pumping. He not only can deliver a few wins, but he is an excellent workhorse that will bump to the triple-A talent. NXT or ROH could definitely use a gifted heel that can make the fans boo and cheer in the same match.
3. Alec Price
Alec Price continues to show up to every indie show across the country. He is edgy, sporadic, young, and a staple for the indie scene. Alec wrestles with a reckless abandon that makes him perfect as a spiritual successor to Raven. The great thing about Alec is he can add value to trios matches or earn a title match. He is a versatile tool in the wrestling community and he has done the work to get his name out there.
4. B3CCA
B3CCA is a pre-assembled heel that no company will regret hiring. She pulls off the conniving, diva with an ego to a T. She is taller than most female wrestlers, which makes her a an impressive high flyer. It is not hard to imagine her as an NXT personality strutting her stuff. On the other hand, she plays guitar and she is just as comedic as Joe Hendry. Now, I really want to see them in an inter-gender tag match.
5. Megan Bayne
Megan carries herself like such a confident superstar, you would think she was a former WWE alumni with a few WrestleManias under her belt. She is a queen goddess in stature and a powerhouse in the ring. Her Wonder Woman/Greek Godess theme demands respect. You can find her destroying her opponents (male and female) at Limitless, Beyond Wrestling, and GCW. She can easily match Athena’s ego or Charlotte Flair’s attitude. It baffles me why AEW and WWE scouts aren’t at her door.
