Ricochet is the perfect option to win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal
The battle royal should be the next step in building the momentum behind Ricochet and he's the perfect option to pick up the victory this year.
The Andre the Giant Battle Royal is set for the next episode of WWE SmackDown. As one of the final leads into WrestleMania 40, it was a showcase match to get celebrities and additional stars on the card. While its stature has dropped in recent years, many are wondering if this new iteration under Triple H’s creative direction will lead to something bigger for the winner. Looking at the field for this year there’s one individual that should pick up the victory, the one and only Ricochet.
Ricochet is everything that screams a star in both professional wrestling and sports entertainment. Look at his track record before joining WWE if you need a reminder of what he can do in other organizations. Within the company, he’s held championships, but it never looked like he would reach the place that fans wanted to see. At least, that was before Vince McMahon’s resignation and expulsion from the sports entertainment world thanks to the heinous allegations of rape, sex trafficking, and more. Ricochet is heading in a better direction under Triple H.
That direction must include a victory in the Andre Battle Royal. Ricochet has yet to have a WrestleMania moment, and this would be a strong stand-in until the opportunity is built for next year. His current booking has created strong momentum as he’s picked up wins over Ivar, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh in recent weeks. His win over Dragon Lee in the WWE Speed tournament was a good display of what’s to come with those series of matches. Ricochet has a push growing behind him and that shouldn’t come to an end any time soon.
Looking at the current list of participants, Ricochet stands out as the only one with a consistent push. Bronson Reed, Chad Gable, and Andrade are all in solid positions, but none of them are picking up wins each week. Imagine the reaction if Ricochet and Omos were the last two standing and Ricochet was the one to send him toppling over the top. That would be a fantastic way to increase said push coming out of WrestleMania season.
Ricochet is a fan favorite. Every time he steps into the ring fans perk up to see what amazing feats, he’s going to do next. That’s the type of reaction WWE must capitalize on to keep him hot coming out of this big week. That is why Ricochet is the perfect option to win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
