When WWE introduced a top championship for RAW, it delivered opportunities that numerous stars couldn't receive when there was only one World Title. With RAW having the top talent in their three-hour show, it gave fans hope to see their favorite wrestlers go after a major championship. When Seth Rollins won the World Heavyweight Gold, it was written that Seth would be the top star to carry WWE's flagship show, RAW. No matter the obstacle Seth faced, he was the fighting champion that WWE fans hadn't seen for a long time. Seth was in intense rivalries with stars rarely in the main event scene including Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura.

At a time when it felt as if Seth was on top of the world, he faced an unfortunate injury. While WrestleMania season was approaching, Seth revealed to the WWE Universe that he was suffering from a torn MCL and he needed to go through surgery. Being the tough and resilient wrestler that Seth is, he pulled a miracle with his quick and successful rehabilitation to prove that he is medically cleared to compete at WWE's biggest event, WrestleMania. Seth happened to pull double duty throughout WrestleMania weekend by competing in the main event of Night 1 and opening Night 2 to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against a difficult challenger, Drew McIntyre. During Night 2 of WrestleMania, Seth dramatically lost his title to McIntyre, Shortly after WrestleMania, Rollins underwent surgery once again to repair a torn meniscus in his knee.

With an unknown timetable as to when Rollins would make his in-ring return, it only took two months for him to come back to the squared circle once again. This time, RAW had a new main event scene with the new World Heavyweight Champion being The Judgment Day's member, Damian Priest. As Rollins knew the times have changed, he threw a challenge that Priest couldn't refuse. Desperate for the gold Rollins once truly possessed, Rollins declared that if he were to fail at winning back the World Title, he wouldn't receive another chance as long as Priest was the champion.

At Money in the Bank, a huge domino effect hit during Seth's last chance. The match that was once a singles bout became a triple threat match due to McIntyre cashing in his Money in the Bank Briefcase. With McIntyre knocking out Rollins with a vicious Claymore, CM Punk came out to handle his unfinished business with McIntyre by giving him a massive beatdown. This cost Rollins the match as Priest was able to capitalize on a fallen McIntyre. The outcome brought frustration to Rollins as he also has a personal history with CM Punk, whom he despises. It is in question as to what's next for Rollins for the time being. In the future, Rollins will be champion again before WrestleMania. The reason for that is because this past WrestleMania, it was planned for Rollins and CM Punk to go at it for the coveted World Title.

One way WWE can plan for Seth to become the World Heavyweight Champion again is by penciling in him to go against Punk at WrestleMania 41. To plant the seeds for this possible match, WWE can go the route for CM Punk to win the Royal Rumble and main event a WrestleMania, which is something he has never done in his illustrious career. At the next Elimination Chamber event, Rollins can go on and win back his title inside the Elimination Chamber and go on to defend against Punk at WrestleMania.
