Professional wrestling collaborations continue, yet another big move by WWE has been announced. Shayna Baszler is headed back to Bloodsport for what will only be described as another huge matchup for GCW. This is must-watch professional wrestling for all.

“The Universe cries out, it favors the many,” Baszler posted on Twitter. “Your Queen answers in defiance, ‘I am the one!’ All try to stand in the light…I am reaching out from the dark to collect them…Limb. By. Limb.”

Quite the statement from the former NXT Women’s Champion.

Baszler is heading back into the world that combines shoot fighting and professional wrestling along with the perfect mix of the cult classic movie with the same name. Back on April 4, Baszler took on Masha Slamovich in what was an amazing contest that stole the show. Fans wanted to see more, so now they are getting more.

“For her, the ‘debut’ in Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport was not that but in fact her stepping into the ring she was forged from – the crucible that has made her a champion in MMA and Pro Wrestling,” Josh Barnett posted. “This July, she returns to her birthplace to once again reign in blood and glory.”

Bloodsport XI is set for Sunday, July 28 in Brooklyn, New York. No opponent has been announced for Baszler, and the rest of the card is unknown, but this is still a huge match that can’t be ignored. Think about some of the potential names that could cross fists with Baszler. Individuals like Mercedes Martinez, Lady Frost, or what about Jordynne Grace. For those who watched the match back in April, Grace and Baszler got into a shouting match after Baszler picked up the victory. Pitting those two against each other in GCW would further the partnership between TNA and WWE, setting up big opportunities for the future.

2024 is certainly the year of partnership in professional wrestling. No, it is not a new concept as collaboration has happened for years. But seeing WWE step into the foray in such a way has been enjoyable. Shayna Baszler is one of the best performers in the world and deserves this spotlight. A spotlight she will shine in and the wrestling community must make it a point to see.
