Releasing previews for The Wrestling Code has not been easy for Virtual Basement. The restless Twitter fanbase has been growing impatient. You can't blame them. The Wrestling Code has been slow-roasting for the last three years, with over 100 wrestlers ranging from Kurt Angle to RVD, gobs of wrestling match types, and next-gen graphics that feel at home on the PS5 and Xbox X/S. The promises behind The Wrestling Code are more ambitious than any wrestling game we have ever seen, but that means Virtual Basement needs to take its time to get everything right.

Virtual Basement gave us Tech Demo 7, which demonstrates Chris Danger as a playable wrestler, a new arena, and new wrestling animations--a considerable turning point in development.

In the video, Chris Denker walks into a huge venue with cheering crowds. His theme music and Titantron play in the background as he marches toward the ring. He gazes at the crowd, showing off facial features and body movements.

In the next scene, Chris Danger demonstrates wrestling moves to different opponents. He hits Ken Shamrock with a falling boot drop. Matt Cardona receives Shawn Michaels' Sweet Chin Music. Diamond Dallas Page is dealt a super kick while holding a chair. Kurt Angle feels the wrath of a Falcon Arrow. Rob Van Dam gets Canadian Destroyed from the top rope. Both Ultimo Dragon and Fallah Bahh eat falling boot drops.

The part of this video that sent the comment section on fire is that every wrestler sold a move differently. Some went straight to the ground, while others stumbled before falling. The weight class will determine the realistic reactions to different wrestling moves, as smaller guys will go straight down to the mat, while bigger guys will topple over after staggering.

The video has earned over 107k views, and the comment section is singing its praises. One follower even apologized for being so critical after seeing the footage. While this footage doesn't show player gameplay, it proves the game is still chugging. Keep up the excellent work, Virtual Basement.
