WWE Raw after the Royal Rumble is kickstarting its road to WrestleMania 40 with a bump in the road known as Elimination Chamber, which is shaping up with top candidates like CM Punk and Liv Morgan being potential Elimination Chamber winners this year.

On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, three matches have been officially scheduled: Gunther (c) vs. Kofi Kingston for the IC Title, Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed, and Judgment Day (c) vs. DIY for the Undisputed Tag Titles. In terms of segments, none are scheduled but is expected that Cody Rhodes, the 2024 Royal Rumble Winner, will address his future on the road to WrestleMania 40. It is obvious that he is choosing Roman Reigns as his opponent at WrestleMania 40, so it is very likely that he will officially leave Raw and become a SmackDown superstar on the road to WrestleMania.

In other news regarding WWE Raw, there are plenty of returns from the Royal Rumble that could show up on tonight's show, including Liv Morgan, Naomi, Andrade, and Jade Cargill. CM Punk was so close to winning the Rumble, but he did telegraph that he would eliminate Drew McIntyre last. That is exactly what he did at the Rumble before losing to Cody Rhodes. Bayley, who also won the Royal Rumble this year, promised Damage Control that she would pick Rhea Ripley as her WrestleMania opponent. However, it is unlikely she will keep her word on that since there is dissension in the ranks.

With that being said, the following will focus on the three announced matches and the idea of Cody Rhodes officially leaving Raw on the road to WWE Elimination Chamber 2024.

Judgment Day (c) vs. DIY [Undisputed Tag Titles]

DIY will dethrone Judgment Day to become the new tag team champions because Judgment Day is on the verge of dissension and Mr. MITB Damian Priest needs to start carving his path to the world title before his MITB Contract expires. Priest can't win the world title with the tag titles still in his grasp. When Judgment Day loses the tag titles, this will begin a slow build to Mr. MITB Damian Priest battling Finn Balor at WrestleMania whilst DIY focuses on maintaining the prestige of the tag team division with their fancy pro wrestling skills and storytelling that they showcased in NXT.

Prediction: DIY

Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed [Grudge Match]

Bronson Reed will defeat Jey Uso because he is likely being built up to battle Seth Rollins for the World Title in Australia at Elimination Chamber. If that is the case, he needs the victory more in to gain the momentum he needs for the world title shot. Jey Uso can take the loss here and still get a consolation prize in a mid card IC Title shot against Gunther at Elimination Chamber, where he will likely shock the world and win his first singles title in his WWE career. Gunther's days as IC Champion are winding down and it's only a matter of time until he makes that transition to the main event scene.

Prediction: Bronson Reed

Gunther (c) vs. Kofi Kingston [IC Title]

Gunther will defeat Kofi Kingston to retain the Intercontinental Championship because he is not losing his championship on a random Raw, especially after the historic record-breaking reign he has built up in the past calendar year. Also, Kofi Kingston's days of becoming IC Champion are already numbered. This match is merely a means for Gunther to run through The New Day before going face to face with Main Event Jey Uso, who has been forming a temporary alliance with The New Day in order to gradually build to his first singles title victory in his WWE career.

Prediction: Gunther
