WWE Raw is kickstarting its road to WWE MITB 2024, and WWE has already confirmed that there will be a MITB Ladder Match for both the men's and women's divisions. This is also the first Raw after an epic Clash at the Castle PLE, where Damian Priest defeated Drew McIntyre to retain the World Title in the main event, thanks to some deja vu assistance from CM Punk, as Mark Justice predicted right here on Daily DDT. This week, there will be MITB Qualifying Matches and two matches have been officially scheduled: Karrion Kross vs. Xavier Woods and Carlito vs. Dragon Lee in Grudge Matches.

In other news regarding WWE Raw, Sami Zayn retained the IC Title against Chad Gable once again, as Otis and the rest of Alpha Academy failed to follow orders and assist him in his quest for gold. It's only a matter of time until Creed Bros and Ivy Nile replace them in helping Chad Gable achieve his "boyhood dream." Elsewhere in the mid card, Bron Breakker has been busy tearing Ricochet and Ilja Dragunov apart and would likely be offended if Adam Pearce does not include him in a MITB Qualifying Match. So far, only Main Event Jey Uso has announced his intentions to be in said match.

Also, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn shockingly won the Women's Tag Titles in their home country of Scotland even though they had zero momentum going into the match. They have now brought the tag titles back to Monday Night Raw. Whilst Belair and Cargill will likely move on and pursue their singles careers on SmackDown, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark may actually need some help from Sonya Deville to win tag gold from Fyre and Dawn. Elsewhere in the women's division, Liv Morgan has planted seeds with both Zelina Vega and Lyra Valkyria before her inevitable title match with Rhea.

With that being said, the following will focus on the two scheduled matches and the idea of Goldberg replacing Drew McIntyre on the road to WWE Clash at the Castle 2024.

Drew McIntyre is on the road to battling CM Punk at SummerSlam, so a new challenger awaits Damian Priest. Before Priest meets King Gunther at SummerSlam, seeds were already planted for Braun Strowman to get the next title shot since he has been battling Judgment Day for the past few weeks. However, the fans have been quite underwhelmed with Priest's title run and the rumors of Priest's babyface turn seems ill-advisded, if he is not connecting with the audience. In order to get a bafyface to battle King Gunther at SummerSlam in a big fight feel, look no further than Goldberg.

Karron Kross vs. Xavier Woods [Personal Rivalry]

Karrion Kross has been telling Xavier Woods to break away from The New Day for weeks so that Woods can pursue his own singles run and become World Champion, just like Kofi Kingston and Big E did. Since Woods created The New Day, he remains stubborn and persistent on keeping New Day intact even though it has lost its luster ever since Big E got injured. That infamous faction deserves so much praise for all the great work it has produced over the past 10 years. However, Kross is right because Xavier is currently lost in the woods, and trouble in paradise awaits Kofi this summer.

Prediction: Karrion Kross

Carlito vs. Dragon Lee [Personal Rivalry]

Carlito is the one who attacked Dragon Lee backstage before WrestleMania 40 simply because Rey Mysterio chose Dragon Lee as his tag team partner to fend off Santos Escobar and Dirty Dom. Carlito was offended that Rey did not choose him and was justified in attacking Dragon Lee to assure his spot at WrestleMania. As a justified heel, Carlito needs a victory to solidify his heel turn, and this victory could lead to him being more accepted in the Judgment Day. Eventually, Carlito will get his rematch against Rey Mysterio and get his revenge this summer because what Rey did was "not cool."

Prediction: Carlito
