Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bron Breakker [IC Title]

Sami Zayn will retain the IC Title against Bron Breakker because it is too soon in Bron Breakker's main roster career to win the IC title just yet. Zayn got robbed this year of being in the MITB Ladder Match, and the main reason why he was not in that match was because he had the IC Title, a championship that he had outgrown a long time ago. However, now that MITB is behind us, Zayn should not lose the IC Title at this point. He has told compelling story after compelling story with his opponents, especially Chad Gable, to the point that he feels like the world champion on Monday Night Raw.

It also cannot be stated enough that Sami Zayn was the one who dethroned Gunther at Mania 40 in what was a 600+ day title reign. It would be booking malpractice if a future main event player like Zayn would lose the title this soon to a recent NXT Call Up after accomplishing such a historic feat. Ilja Dragunov is heavily involved in this feud as well. To protect Breakker in defeat, Dragunov could also get involved and force a triple threat at Bash in Berlin at the end of the month. The fans in Berlin would definitely want to see Dragunov in action, and an IC Title opportunity would be ideal for him.

Prediction: Sami Zayn

Damian Priest (c) vs. King Gunther [World Heavyweight Title]

King Gunther will dethrone Damian Priest because he needs to solidify his KOTR victory and walk into Bash at Berlin as the World Champion. This storyline has been quite controversial due to the racial overtones from Gunther's "street trash" comment to Damian Priest. However, from a booking standpoint, King Gunther has already proven that he can be a compelling world champion, as exemplified by his formidable IC Title run that ended at Mania 40. Meanwhile, Priest is still struggling to be a compelling world champion four months into his title reign that began at Mania 40.

In fact, Damian Priest's title reign has been commonly criticized as being merely transitional. This criticism is due to the fact that the fans in the WWE Universe have not fully connected with Damian Priest yet. It can be argued that Priest could win here to solidify his babyface turn with the Judgment Day, but a loss would do him more favors in garnering some babyface sympathy from the fans. In fact, it's only a matter of time until Finn Balor betrays Damian Priest here, as was teased on the Raw after Mania where Priest brushed off Finn Balor when it came to targeting the tag team titles.

Prediction: King Gunther
