The New Day is one of the most decorated groups in WWE history, and the trio of Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods have accomplished everything there is to do as a team. However, every act in professional wrestling has its shelf life, and it's safe to say The New Day has reached the point of saturation.

WWE has been teasing the breakup of the New Day for quite some time now, and it appears the storyline has reached its boiling point. With Kofi Kingston and Big E having their fair share of singles glories, it looks like it's Xavier Woods' time to shine in the spotlight, and it's a no-brainer that WWE chose him to be the catalyst behind the New Day's implosion.

It's only a matter of time before Xavier Woods completes his heel turn, starts his singles journey, and start a significant feud against Kofi Kingston, with Big E eventually playing a vital supporting role. However, the burning question among fans is how WWE would book Woods once he finishes the feud with Kingston.

WWE has the perfect opportunity to do something significant with Xavier Woods and squash an allegation against them that is causing a buzz among pro wrestling fans. Fans claim that WWE's creative team under Triple H have been neglecting black wrestlers on high-profile PLEs and also provided stats that back up the claim.

It's worth noting that Xavier Woods was the one who formed The New Day on-screen, and seeing how they started as heels and generated legitimate heat from the crowd, Woods would have no problems whatsoever to replicate that level of success in his upcoming singles run. WWE can use the storyline to give Woods multiple high-profile PLE wins and do the same for other wrestlers like Carmelo Hayes and Naomi in an organic fashion to squash these allegations.

However, judging by the level of talent in the current WWE roster, it's unlikely that Xavier Woods will breach the main event scenes. But he can enter the mid-card title storylines and capture the Intercontinental Championship. However, the company should strike while the iron is hot and pull the trigger on an Xavier Woods title run in 2025.

It's also worth noting that the Intercontinental Championship was the first singles title Woods' New Day partners Kofi Kingston and Big E held on the main roster. Woods can gradually work his way up to enter the title picture by next year and get his crowning moment at a high-profile PLE, preferably at WrestleMania 41.
