Building a division around youth is an important part of creating a strong promotion. WWE is leveraging a few methods to add youthful depth to its roster, and Sol Ruca is a product of such work. She entered the WWE in March of 2022 in a class that featured Roxanne Perez, Ariana Grace, Thea Hail, Myles Borne, Stacks, and more. Nearly three years since her official debut, and she’s quickly becoming a favorite among the NXT viewer base.

At only 25 years of age, Sol Ruca has the tools to become a top star in the company. Her look is certainly there. Standing at 5’8 she’s taller than most of her peers and her appearance stands out compared to others on the roster as well. She looks every part the athlete and moves like one in the ring.

Speaking of her in-ring, Ruca’s work bell-to-bell is getting praised. She has an average Cagematch rating of 7.89 which is generally high for the majority of the NXT roster. Her two matches against Kelani Jordan stand out and signal what could be a big rivalry between the young performers for much of their tenure in the company. Her Sol Snatcher is certainly a highlight-reel move and she hit a new level with that at NXT Battleground, landing the move on Jordan from the top rope.

Sol Ruca is heading in the right direction. Fans are behind her, and she’s improving as a performer in the ring. With 1-2 more years in NXT, she has the makings to become a solid performer on the main roster who can grow into a featured act in time.
