WWE is heading over to Saudi Arabia once again. This time heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the 2025 edition of Night of Champions. With several events scheduled leading into the PLE, WWE announced a special start time for the June 30 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.
WWE is planning a double taping for June 30. That means both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown will be filmed that evening. Raw will start at 6pm Eastern Standard Time as opposed to its regular time of 8pm. SmackDown will also be taped that night but will air in its typical time slot of 8pm on Friday, July 4th. Since that is a The Fourth Of July holiday, WWE is planning to give its talent and staff the day off.
June 30 WWE Monday Night Raw kicks off the road to SummerSlam
WWE Night of Champions will set the tone for SummerSlam. The 2025 King and Queen of the Ring will be crowned. Each individual wins a title match at SummerSlam against the corresponding champion of their brand. The women’s final features Jade Cargill versus Asuka, while the men’s final pits Cody Rhodes against Randy Orton. Asuka and Rhodes stand out as the two favorites for those matches, setting the stage for some interesting bouts at SummerSlam in August.
John Cena and CM Punk is another big match for Night of Champions. The June 30 episode of Raw will also include the fallout of that match. Cena’s retirement tour continues with less than 20 dates on the calendar before his time is done. CM Punk’s inclusion in the angle has created some of the best work Cena has done to date in this run, so fans will be interested in seeing how things play out once the match ends.
This and more should be expected for the next episode of Monday Night Raw, which will start at a special time. For more news and opinion on all things professional wrestling, stick with Daily DDT.
