WWE NXT is quite the offering in professional wrestling and sports entertainment. On one hand, it can be one of the most nonsensical displays of content, but then on the other, it is fantastic professional wrestling from start to finish. If anything remains true about the Tuesday brand, it is the point that the women’s division is carrying the show.
Across professional wrestling, the women have continued to steal the show. 2025 has been filled with amazing moments, veterans leading the way, and new faces breaking through. Entries include such matches like Mariah May versus Toni Storm in The Hollywood Ending. Mercedes Mone continues to elevate the division for all women. And the NXT women’s division is building so many new faces for the future. There’s so much to look forward to that the women’s division continues to outshine the male counterpart.
This is especially true in WWE NXT. Just take the Iron Survivor Matches that went down at NXT Deadline 2025. 162 users on Cagematch rated the women’s edition of the showcase a 9.03 compared to a 8.34 for the men in the main event. But what is more interesting to note is that the women’s edition of the match featured five performers who seriously have the potential to be champions on the main roster. That isn’t the case for the men’s match. Other than Je’Von Evans, none of the men in that match felt like main event attractions, and that tells you how far the women’s division is compared to the men’s division.
The NXT Women's Division is leading the way for the future of the company
Triple H recently made similar comments which were uncovered during an episode of WWE Unreal.
“Their pacing and the understanding of the moments and not arguing about the moments is better than the [expletive] dudes,” Triple H said during a conversation shown on WWE Unreal. “And to be honest, when you go down to the PC there’s [expletive] five women that are great for every guy. It’s like they come in…six months later, they are like [expletive] really good. The guys are just [expletive] starting to figure [expletive] out. They’re just way smarter than us.”
Nothing could be more true, at least within the WWE NXT brand. There’s so much more interest in the women’s division. There are so many more interesting performers to watch. Yes, the men’s division features Je’Von Evans, Oba Femi, Ethan Page, and Ricky Saints - but there aren’t many more worthy of note than that. The women’s division on the other hand. That group features at least double digits worth of talent who will be the future of the sport. Even individuals like Kendal Grey have come out of nowhere to take the promotion by storm. And they are getting the rocket strapped to them along the way.
Women’s wrestling deserves its place at the top of the card. 2025 has proven that, and the WWE NXT Women’s Division proves that every Tuesday.
